Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

should be fine i did mod the md tray, but before i had a chance to take pictures i killed my mobo and so my case is now sat in the corner of my room waiting for a lian li hotswap from drive caddy some vented pci covers.
oh and the rest of my parts such as new mobo cpu ram gpu, so my modding isnt going well, but you have a damm nice rig atleast

how do you think mounting the psu with the fan facing the top and cutting a hole and replacing that with mesh would go?, just to get some cooler air going through the psu

that's a good point there, but i wouldn't like to cut my eclipse.
i'd feel like hurting it:(

my eclipse cost me £5 + p&p yes, the bargin of the centuary, it already had a intake at the top, but it was badly done so im redoing it

wow didnt realize they were so popular, had mine over 3 years and love it

had mine 2 months i already though of replacing it :L

it's not about the money mate, although i bought it 80 euros some years ago,
but i'm the kind of person who likes the original look in machines:rolleyes:.

suite yourself, i respect that, but if its already par mutalated, it wouldnt hurt to do a good job of some mods?

Hello my dear Akasa lovers :)
I'm looking for a spare motherboard tray with back panel from Akasa Eclipse 62 model. I need that for my new modding project, converting Dell XPS 700 case.
Any help where I can get them? Maybe someone has it in the attic gathering dust. I'll buy it for a reasonable price (posted to Dublin), and promise to post full worklog on this forum.

Yep, blu tac works well. One area that can vibrate is the top side of the motherboard tray, it can rattle in its rails, my technique for stopping this was to place a piece of stiff paper between the tray and the slide in rails.

I kick the case a couple of times and usually the rattle goes.

But then it comes back so I have to try an jiggle it about and take the cover off and put it back on and try stuff out.

Just got a Eclipse (V2) having had my XPS (mod) for too long, although it seem kinda sad seeing it empty and un-used under a table plus dam... its a handsome brunt.

Haven't done anything to it yet other than sanding back the front bezel to fit the Lian Li hd rack, so far very nice case, should keep me fiddling around for a bit. :)

(Must get rid of IDE DVD-RW)
