Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Thanks for the replies, that's nice to know. I was interested in the top panel.

Anyone know the pricing for the panels? And are they actually saying out of stock? Or just refusing to ship panels because people can swap out panels from their Eclipses?

They are around a tenner and below.

I'll get the apologies out of the way first... sorry if the bits on the top of the case, and the Dell Poweredge in the background somewhat ruin the photos (which aren't the best of quality I might add). The last photo in the set will give you an idea of the hell I'm going thru having 4 white 120mm Sharkoon SE fans (that's my kitchen).

The other thing you'll notice is the slightly suspect cabling - using the fan-side for extra air, so I've concentrated on making as clean a path as possible for the 3 incoming fans and keeping the "over" cables as kink-free as possible. Got it to 3600GHz, idleing at RealTemp 31C and torturing at 44C.

The 4th photo is the view thru the KamaBay at the top.

Is the last photo your new computer room in progress....:D

Hehe - I did think about putting a couple of RJ45 points in, and the new hole thru the roof where the old chimney was might prove useful for some cool air. :D

Have to admit it's been a right nightmare tho - soot, concrete dust and tomorrow they're skimming the walls and tiling the floor. Tested out another 4GB of RAM the other night and within half an hour, two filters were virtually blocked and the other two had black leading edges.

Other than that tho, it's been a real joy to build with the case tho - big enough to move around in, small enough to rotate the air, and just to right size to stop me from over-filling it with gadgets and tat.

Got a lot to thank you and the other on here for, as it was this thread that swung me to an Eclipse. *bows*

Thanks for the compliment - still got a bit more work to do, but it's getting there slowly. :)

Got an ASUS Silent Knight II on the CPU - think they do two flavours (Copper and Aluminium). Think it's had fairly mixed reviews in terms of cost vs cooling, but I fancied something that didn't quite look the same as the standard towers of flat fins, especially as it's only cooling a Duo and not a Quad. Suppose that's the good thing about the Duo, in that you can go for a bit more form and a little less function.

I'll throw another couple of photos up showing the internals/monitors/stats once the kitchen recovers.

Look forward to pictures... ;)

Shame I couldnt fit my MB tray back in once id fitted my Noctua :(

had to fit it once the tray was in place. that was a pain in the ass at the time :(

Damn, must have been due to the mobo socket position. I just fitted a noctua outside and it had well over 10mm on the top and side when sliding back in.

Hows your build going M8...

Getting the fans for the omega today in fact. will be the last part of the puzzle and will hopefully get some pics up today. Will be my first build with no dvd/optical drive installed. Its looking very nice at the moment. Good for some white and black sharkoons to match the paxmat :D

Right all done ...thank god :D

HDD is being passively cooled in the 5.25 bay all to its self. sitting below 30c always, and the hot air just rising out the case. Very pleased :)
