what do I need to put HDDs in the 5 1/4 space ? just a 5 1/4 to 3.5 drive converter/drive bay ?

I find it very cramped at the bottom with the HDDs + the Video card right next to them

Thought this was probably the best place to ask but I've been looking into a PSU upgrade and then realised the limitations of the Eclipse V1.

I'm at work at the minute so can check but would I be right in assuming that it's impossible to fit a PSU with an underside 120mm fan into this case without modding it?

I know many panels are removable but is there a removable one under the PSU?

Cheers.

Most of us are running PSUs with 120mm fans in the bottom. Why do you think you can't?

Any pics M8...:)

I'll see if I can get a good pic later

My solar eclipse (globalwin ycf-62 - basically what the Akasa eclipse V1 is) came with a nice big square hole where the psu fan sits, I belive all the akasa versions are the same.

Because I don't seem to recall it having a hole under the PSU.

There are 2 versions of the original Eclipse design. On the Akasa site for v.2 it mentions extended PSU support and shows a picture of a PSU with a 120mm fan on the underside, however with v.1 it doesn't mention it and I'm sure mine had a solid plate with some clips for cable routing.

I'm probably totally wrong, I certainly hope so. I just wanted someone with a v.1 to confirm it for me one way or the other :)

I had to cut my original Eclipse due to using an enermax galaxy psu as the fan is sat further forward on the galaxy & half the psu's intake fan is covered.

Any bog standard size psu with a 120mm intake fan will fit fine in any version of the eclipse.
