AKG K7XX - Massdrop

He doesn't say what source he connected them to either and via what medium that was playing back to the cans. These things are important as the sound changes somewhat between sources and connection mediums to them as well as the file formats being played.

I like his reviews for the better camera views of the products though, you can see all angles in good light, especially the headband. I'll judge the sound for myself though as I have a base for comparison and know my source equipment is very capable.
 
I highly doubt it includes customs. That's down to the receiver to pay where applicable.

Anyone know what size box they are likely to ship in? Anyone have the outer packaging box mass drop sent the Q701 in to hand? Mine is flat and in the loft I believe. :p
 
Normal AKG box size :p

MassDrop package it in a brown box taped up in MassDrop branded tape just like Amazon really.
 
All sorted now! Bought some, and they will be shipped to my new address in Minden Nevada in Mid-February. :D

$199 for the headphones, $5 for setting up the postage forwarding, the postage calculator recons $30 to ship to me from Nevada via TNT International, then the possible customs fees of £30.

So a smidge under £180 in total, or a smidge under £150 if I dodge customs somehow!

Happy with that. :)

Well I don't think I need them as when the parcel arrives with the parcel forwarding company, they will know how big it is already because they have it. :p

But just in case, I took the measurements of the box that my Massdrop AKG Q701's came in. The K7XX's have the same packaging. :)
 
The drop has not ended yet so nobody has had theirs shipped^^

In 4 days it ends and International folks will get them within 2 weeks. Depends on customs etc.
 
Oh you'll get plenty of email notifications about the status of the drop throughout the process :D
 
Could someone point me in the direction of a 3.5mm stereo to mini XLR adapter?

I need an adapter like that to plug into the headphone end. Want to use my current cable and be able to switch between cans easier. If anyone knows where they may sell one for the AKG? :)
 
If anyone has the 712pro I'll be interested to know how different the two are. I'm still looking for an open headphone and like the look, comfort and sound of the 712pro. Good luck with shipping/customs to those that have already ordered.
