***AKG Q701 Official Owners Thread***

I found I used my old HD 650 more than any other headphone that isn't my DT770 they are just so seductive. Just don't compare them too the Annie because you will want the Annie Haha

The wrapped stitching? Deal with it!

I'm going to get a piece of calf leather sooner rather than later then button buckle it on completely getting rid of the stock headband.

Is it just me or are the ear pads on the AKG Q701 not aligned? It seems mine aren't in the right orientation and I'm not sure which way they should be.

Yes at -20dB volume level fully litt up on the display it is uncomfortably loud. I tend to have it at -20 about 50% lit with these. The X1 was the same loudness with -20 lit at about 25%.

going to have a quick listen on them for the first time (using just my crappy xonar DG which probably cannot power them) for about 5-10 mins before I put them away for a couple of weeks until I have a substantial amount of spare time to listen to them properly with my AUNE T1 all set up

only had them on for about 15 mins but the bumps are fine, see no reason to do any mods for the time being.

they will also be my main competitive gaming can so i may not do the bass mod and just use my X1's when I want bass, gives me the best of both worlds that way.

probably going to sell my HD558's now (my current competitive gaming can) though i'll need to test the wireless 5.8 mixamp to see how loud they go with voice chat enabled before making a decision on that.

Couple of weeks?!

That's worse torture than being waterboarded.

lol, no spare time atm. they sounded slightly bright when i put them on i felt a slight pierce (xonar cannot really power them properly got everything set to max and it's sitting on a normal listening level) but it disappeared within 15 seconds. bass feels very tight and controlled need a lot more time with these though.

Needs more Electric Pow Wow Drums.

Different but love this song on my headphones and sounds even better with the bass port open :D

this was fantastic thanks for posting it, the others posted in this thread weren't my cup of tea.

@ £120 fantastic headphones cannot grumble will need to test properly with the AUNE T1 soon
