Alan Davies comments

There are idiots everywhere though, just forget they are football fans and think of them as the kind of low life scum that end up in prison.

It's always going to happen. I've seen worse aimed at Wayne Rooney on Twitter for absolutely nothing from all manner of people.

Yeah true, it's just the mob mentality I don't like, thousands upon thousands of people who I can't believe are THAT offended just jumping on the bandwagon and trying to outdo each other in offence

@alandavies1 You ******* absolute ******, so glad your mum died, LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Times about a thousand. It's unacceptable what these Liverpool fans are doing. I can understand some discomfort at hearing his views and people disagreeing with them, but I can't accept that transforming into this abuse.

How embaressing. I suspect the people giving those sort of responses have very little clue or sympathy with hillsborough, how sad these people exist.

We played City on a Sunday evening kick off, then had to play Chelsea in the CC quarter final on the tuesday, isn't Chelsea's game on the wednesday vs Barca?

That was the one. They wouldn't move the QF because of a TUC rallye and they refused to move the City fixture to the Saturday cos of the telly.

The FA don't give a toss about fixture congestion. They hardly ever if at all rearrange fixtures due to it. That's the football problem here. It's got ******** all to do with Hillsborough Memorials.

I think most of Davies' ire was pointed to the FA too, even though it may not come across like that. (it should be if it isn't!)

How the **** is asking for a fixture to be moved the same as refusing to play?

Because if you've asked to move the game, and has been, you simpily can't refuse to play as there is nothing to refuse. Perhaps if the FA refused permission for whatever reason in the future, we'd then see if they what happens. I suspect it's more likely to be an issue with UEFA should Liverpoool qualify for the later rounds of the Champions League.

It's not the FA fault, it's the Premier League. I'm sure you'll find Liverpool agreed to move the game to a Sunday (City at Home) in the first place to get the TV Money.

Whether it is a request or a refusal depends on how lenient the FA are. They've negatively impacted another football club by moving it. If Chelsea said they couldn't fulfil the fixture other than on the alloted date, and Liverpool said they couldn't meet the date that the fixture was actually scheduled for, what would be the outcome? Would Liverpool then refuse to play?

This is quite irrelevant.

Liverpool asked the FA to arrange their Semi on the 14th. The FA did so.

How the FA arranged the other and how Chelsea have dealt with it isn't Liverpool's concern. Take it up with the FA if you're that bothered.

In all probability Everton would also have requested the 14th, and the police would also have asked for the 14th, considering that getting both sets of fans all the way to Wembley and back on a Sunday is a more difficult and more expensive task than it is on a Saturday.

I think the best solution would have been to have held the Liverpool Everton game at Old Trafford @ 12:30pm, the Chelsea Spurs at Wembley : 5:15pm. But the FA wouldn't have that would they?

Would Liverpool have refused to play? maybe, but that's moot.

Just to clear something up, Liverpool didn't refuse to play on the Sunday nor did they ask the game to be moved (Dalglish was asked whether the club would speak to the FA about it and he said they wouldn't). The FA scheduled the Liverpool game on the Saturday and the Chelsea game on the Sunday, admittedly they most probably done this with Hillsborough in mind.

When will these people be ready to lay it to rest and move forward? When there are big cash payouts made (or has that already happened and people still want to rage on about it)?

There are no standing terraces in major football venues anymore so that has been addressed at least.

Maybe when they find out the truth?

You honestly think it is to do with money? Are you purposely on the wind up?

Oh yeah and there are still major standing stadiums throughout the world, although I do believe safe standing is completely reasonable.

That's true, however the League game was arranged well before it was known that we'd get to the 1/4's of the league cup. When we beat Stoke to get to the quarters, we were scheduled to play Chelsea on the Tuesday rather than the Wednesday (2 of the 1/4's were played on the Tuesday and 2 on the Wednesday). On top of that, it had already been confirmed that had Stoke beaten us, their 1/4 final would have been scheduled for the following week as they had a Europa League game on the Thursday. Basically, Liverpool (and City) were forced to play 2 games in 3 days despite it being very possible for them to either play on the Wednesday or even the following week.

Yes, that's true, Liverpool would have agreed to move the City fixture, without knowing they'd be in the CCQF and that the CCQF would have to be played on the following Tuesday.

I seem to remember City refused our request to move it back to the Saturday.

If they haven't found out 'the truth' by now, I don't think they ever will.

That is all right if you believe it, but many who were affected by the 96 people who died that day aren't going to stop trying and many a Liverpool fan will help in whatever way they can, and many other fans for that matter.

What truth are they expecting to find? Is there some sort of conspiracy that I'm not aware of? Lots of people got crushed to death and the police/emergency services reacted poorly to the situation. What else is there to it? I thought all of the underlying issues and failures have already been exposed such as the safety certificate being out of date etc. etc.

Do people from Liverpool expect to uncover that Saddam Hussain was behind it or something?

Genuinely confused

To be fair to Dalglish, talking to the FA about this isn't his job. If he got asked that, it's a really dumb question.
