Alan Davies comments

The USA rugby team played their World Cup match on the 11th September last year. I am fairly sure one of the players lost a family member in the towers. I am not saying Hillsborough should be ignored, but to affect other businesses (because that is what football clubs are), by refusing to play seems a little extreme.

Do no events take place on 7/7 at all either? As mentioned earlier are fixtures avoided for Heysel?

Are my posts invisible or what?

IT'S NOT THE CASE THAT LIVERPOOL FC REFUSE TO PLAY ON THE 15TH OF APRIL OR ANY OTHER DAY FOR THAT MATTER

And now you're just being petty/showing an agenda of anti-liverpool as usual. I am not the least bit surprised. Do one.

It was a joke related to your off topic comeback.

Stop it with the victim mentality, it's absolutely pathetic.

It was almost quarter of a century ago. That does not mean that people should forget it happened, it does not mean people should not continue to mourn those who were lost, but a time comes when life goes on.

I would apply this to any situation, any community, and any business, I couldn't care less that it's a football club.

This is still ongoing. There are still families out there who haven't had justice. There are still families out there who haven't had the answers to how their loved ones died.

I didn't even know this.

I thought it was fact that the coppers opened a gate they shouldn't have, and a bunch of rowdy fans forced their way in?

Wasn't that the findings of the report (?)

I know this is an emotive subject for some. I'm genuinely asking the question, because I thoughtt he matter was closed.

that doesn't show an anti liverpool agenda though :/

He's calling you a poor poster. Purdy. The Purdy. The only person with more nonsense in his post history than DM.

Actually I think he's calling me a poor poster. I can't even work it out

So who decides when it's time to move on?

Surely the HFSG is in a better place to judge that than Alan Davies?

Off topic? You mention he hates everyone, and I was just showing that is possible as he is a pretty vile person.

Victim mentality? What?

This is the most comprehensive collection of evidence and statements from those that were there.

It does when you seem his blatant wind up posts constantly in weekend threads, think he posts more about Liverpool and Dalglish than he does Arsenal is it he supports?

I largely post funny photos and the odd comment, just so happens that Liverpool have been hilarious this season so have taken up much of my funny photo allocation. Spurs from time to time too.

but it's been 23 years

and lol @ liverpool fans taking the morale high ground (in general, not so much this thread)

i have zero doubt there are liverpool fans who care about this in the right way for the right reasons, just as i have zero doubt there are liverpool fans who are doing it for the wrong reasons.

He should be allowed an opinion without this level of abuse though.

'That **** really gets on my ****?'
Fantastic insight from him.

The morale high ground about what?

And what is your point it has been 23 years? Still the truth hasn't been released about what actually happened, shows what a joke the United Kingdom is.

Have you heard the podcast before? That's actually quite a literate snippet compared to most sentences they come out with. It's not meant to be insightful, it's meant to be funny and just a chat about football. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously or to cause offence

(For anybody who doesn't regularly follow the podcast - do it, even if you're not an Arsenal fan it's hilarious!)

There's always ****heads about though, they're everywhere. When you do something stupid, it sometimes attracts them.

Like I said earlier, he was an idiot to get involved.

Stop swearing - Gilly

Well we'll agree to disagree.

He's apologised and has now donated £1,000 to the fund, water under the bridge imo, best thing to do is leave it, he didn't mean offence.

p.s. he's mentioned the tragedy before on the podcast and how he regrets it happened and how saddened he was by it, for some insight into his views.
