Alder Lake-S leaks

I just want to know actual real world usage numbers, like how much faster does it process 1000 images in an industry standard ap vs the previous gen etc!

RKL was very fun to overclock and play with. Also, solid chip for gaming, where it excelled in many titles that prefer Intel.

Hoping Alderlake is as much fun to play with!

For those of us who enjoy building, testing, overclocking these chips as a hobby, this is a fantastic time where competition means rapid innovation.

Fair enough I dont have the funds to be doing that, when the platform has no future and its flagship is 8 cores and it needs new board for example AM4 has been great and still has another update to come with 3D V-Cache

btw Zen 3 is also fun to tinker with PBO2

It's going to demolish rocket lake, that much is confirmed based on hardware Unboxed is saying
He also said don't buy mobo/RAM before the reviews are up; which you could take to mean particular boards or RAM sticks are not good. Or, there's a difference between DDR4 and DDR5. Seems more likely he's talking about the latter.

Wait for the reviews from Puget, they'll cover the productivity stuff properly and have lots of comparisons to go by. You can also download their suite of benchmarks and run them on your own system to get a real comparison for yourself.

Wonder if the 12700K actually beats 5950X in gaming. That would be a major upset if Alderlake is as good as this tweet seems to imply.
Very possible, I mean games only need so many cores and not like there is a huge difference in core speeds between 5800x and 5950x.

Good to finally see some progress from Intel I say. Even though I have no interest in buying alder lake, I like tech and it is good seeing more competition.

Thing is unless reviewers bought a 12700K too, then all press review kits sent out only included 12600K and 12900K. Maybe I'll tweet HWU and see if they have the whole lot in...
