Man of Honour
For once I have pre ordered something and everything is pointing to it being a stellar choice lol.

Helps to have per core overclocking though which is something I've always felt AMD should have added since your always limited by the weakest core.World record is 8.79Ghz. Getting close...
Wait for the 12400F then which will likely match those top scores for 25% of the price20% of the price though.
Edit: Actually the i3 9100 isn’t very good value. I though that would be half the cost of the Ryzen chip.

That happens if you try aircooling (Dark Rock Pro 4) with the Intel Core i9 12900k on PL1=241 and Prime95. Lets Go for 100 degrees. At least the e-core are still ok
Just curious, do all these boards come with Resizable BAR enabled?

Chances are you if you're clueless enough to put an air cooler on a flagship cpu, you likely have no idea what Prime95 even exists.

Can happily cool the 5950x on air.
Cheers then my RTX 3080 Ti is ready. All 11th gen Intel boards after March last year support it as do all CPUs for said boards. If your RTX 30 already has the vbios update and you install the latest drivers then yeah should be usable out the box.
The RTX 3000 users are in for a treat.
The closest thing you will get from an AIO to an open loop water cooler is the one in my signature, its not an Asetek and its better that any AIO of that design.
Its nothing fancy, No RGB, its just a well made chunky AIO that outperforms everything else, and £100 now its not as expensive as a lot of Asetek designs no where near as good.
I think it would be a good cooler for ADL, check for Socket 1700 Brackets first tho.

I was thinking I was future proofed for atleast a couple of years when I bought my Corsair HX1000 PSU. It’s now becoming a baseline with these high end components.
That kind of thing tipped me over the edge from buying my brother a cheaper 12600K and lower end board and DDR4 Ram and me keeping my 'still not finished building' 5900X/RTX3090 based system...over to deciding to give him my 5900X/X570/4x8GB 3600CL18 and instead buying a 12900K/Maximus Hero/2x16GB 5200/CL36 for myself.
Plan to get serious into MSFS2020 in VR with my new PC and also have a Kickstarter Yaw2 Motion Sim Rig coming early next year to use with it. VR Flight Sim guy compared his 10900K/RTX3090 with his GPU in a 5900X system and while the 5900X combo actually achieved a couple of frames more than the 10900K combo, he said the frame timing or somesuch meant that it seemed to look/feel much smoother on the 10900K system than the 5900X system.
Basically I was just looking for excuses! LOL

Custom water cooling with an Intel specific CPU block.
