Alder Lake-S leaks

For those who think big.little is pointless, you're not going to like what AMD is planning

I'm not 2 minutes in to this and already i'm facepalming.

He praises Intel for the Big - Little because you can get more in to a space, ok sure, but then says AMD are caught off guard by this and don't have much to compete with a Big - Little design.

Really? So AMD can't just make a 24 core mainstream CPU, or a 32 core, hell a 64 core? what about a 96 core is that technically doable for them?

I'm going to keep watching but less than 2 minutes in i already know his reasoning for AMD "desperately trying to get Big - Little out themselves" argument. This despite both Lisa in the investors conference and Robert in the Video he is referring to saying AMD will not be doing the Big - Little thing.

He's trying to create controversy and hype for views, he starts with ridiculous mental gymnastics to set the stage for a nonsense video, its insulting to peoples intelligence.

AMD can make all those cores by sacrificing power draw and single core performance - this is a fact and one of the few things we know AMD needs to work around

OMG..... i ####### knew it, hahahaha....... 20 seconds later he admits that the P cores in ADL are 3X the size of Zen 3 cores, you couldn't ######## make it up, what a complete......

I'm really beginning to hate this guy.

They also said AM4 would last till 2020 but are now planning to release new CPUs on it in 2022.

This article seems to be getting really confused. They seem to be blaming this on LGA 1200 coolers being used on Asus boards with the 1200 mounting holes but are also talking about updated LGA 1700 brackets. And then at another point suggesting it's because the cold plate is round! The 'LGA 1700' MSI AIO on the left is just an Asetek 7th gen pump with the Asetek LGA 1700 bracket.. which would be no different from an 'old' LGA 1200 cooler, like the NZXT X but with the new LGA 1700 bracket.

12900k and rtx3080, no idea on ram used

My CPU shipped early hours this morning but not the motherboard unfortunately.

Actually thinking about it I ordered the board before the CPU also, Maybe they're going through the CPU's first.

Linus accidentally posted a review video and took it down.

From Reddit: For those that missed it: 12900k is beating 5900x in 4/5 games (5900x won flight sim by a few fps). 12900k is def the new gaming performance king. Uses 100W more power in rendering but around the same power in gaming as 5950/5900x. 12600k performance is only slightly below 12900k and is beating 5900x in gaming.

TLDW: Intel is faster but uses up to double power in stuff like cinebench, but in gaming it wins and uses equal or less power. 12600k is the real winner delivering gaming results better than the 5950x

Benchmark charts below

Core 12900k and 12600k dominates 5950x in all games.
12900k beats 5950x in all but a few productivity benchmarks.
12900k runs HOT. 12600k stays within 125w TDP even during productivity benchmarks
12600k is the value champ overall, lagging a percent or two behind the 12900k in most games except for CSGO 12600k beats 5950x in gaming
Edit: In all games but flight sim, which the 5900x beat the 5950x and had the highest fps. Linus said he debated throwing it out but that its something that should be investigated by AMD and microsoft
