Alec Baldwin fatally shoots woman with prop gun on movie set

wth, he did nothing wrong

He pulled the trigger of a gun with it pointing at another person which directly to that persons death. Irrespective of the chain of events that lead to that point, he was the last link in a chain of events and therefore, had he not pulled the trigger whilst the gun was pointing at the lady, she wouldn't have died.

However, he was only a single link in a longer chain therefore he is not the only person I believe should be charged so I'm glad to see everyone else involved in that chain of events is also being charged too.

I dont think he did himself any favours with his arrogant attitude.

I think he even tried to sue people who give their witness reports to what happened.

He knows he shot her. Whether by accident or not. What kind of a person who takes someone elses life and then immediately only thinks of himself!?

I suspect he thinks he should get away with no punishment.

I think Baldwin will avoid a sentence. He was unlucky and at the end of a chain of incompetence. But he fired the bullet which killed her so the court can't just brush him aside.

He was also ultimately responsible for what happened on set, since he was producer for the film. Let's see what the court finds but, as it stands, I think terrible accident and no-one specifically liable is the right outcome.

He wasn't the producer, he was the executive producer which is very different.

Maybe he's just really really mad that he was supposed to be given a glorified cap gun to film a scene with and instead was handed a live firearm which went off by itself and killed/injured people, I'd be furious in his shoes as you treat fake guns much more blasé than live ones so there was a chance he could have had it pointed it himself when it went off.

1) Why did he accept the live firearm instead of the imitation? 2) Why did he accept the firearm off the assistant director, not the armour? 3) Why did he refuse training from the armourer?

There are safety protocols for a reason, most of which were missed by Baldwin who was the producer, he is responsible for the safety violations.

Also, he pulled the trigger, it didn't go off by itself, the FBI forensic report confirmed as much.

He didn't know it was a live firearm. You expect people you pay to do their job properly to do their job properly!

First of all, what are you basing the first statement on? Is this a statement he has stated? Secondly, how could he not know?

If Baldwin had done his job right, he would have had an adequate armourer and been trained by them. Why did he not accept the additional training the armourer wanted to provide? The assistant director was not trained to handle firearms, why would he accept anything from him? Baldwin was the producer, this is absolutely he responsibility, he's not a rookie actor who just walked on set.
