Alien: Isolation...

Has anyone else been monitoring the GPU usage of this game? Why is it peaking and toughing?

I was last night & my boost edition 7950 was giving me a flat 925mhz on the core all the time. Which is weird as it normally jumps up & down from the boost unlesss I overclock. 14.9 whql's...

Ow those temps!

Loving the game so far.
I'm a big survival horror fan and so loving October as there are a few decent looking survival horror games coming up.

Reviews seem decent.
I know everybody has different opinions but how can ign give this game a 5.9 for being too long and the ai being 'unpredictable"

Rule of thumb: Ignore IGN they lost credibility a long time ago.

Has anyone else found that the alien seems to virtually teleport it's way around sometimes?

For example, I was playing Crew Expendable and went into a room where the alien just seemed to walk in straight after me out of nowhere, which was fine.
I scared him off with the flamethrower and he went out of the other door that led to a different part of the ship.
I then left the way I came in and went in the opposite direction through a corridor into a larger room and the git was only standing right there in the middle of the room waiting for me although I'd only taken 10 seconds to get there :p

It was like in the original Superman movie when he races the train and beats the other kids back to the farm :D

Just to provide closure to this tale, I did the flamethrower thing again and he ran away, only to get me via the the ceiling vent on my way out which isn't cool when you're in the dark and the surround system is turned up :o

Only fake 3d works for now but do not look that bad. Keep checking this thread as maybe those guys will find a fix for proper 3d.

There are parts of the scenary that look great in 3D if this ever gets a proper profile it will looking cracking in 3D.

The alien can move much quicker than you and can travel very fast through the ceiling ducts and it just bad luck that you entered a room that he got to before you.

1. disable Intro-Sequences:

Steam\SteamApps\common\Alien Isolation\DATA\UI\MOVIES
AMD_IDENT.USM
CA_IDENT.USM
FOX_IDENT.USM

rename/move/delete,

2. more fluid movement/control:

turn Ingame-Vsync off, and use the CP to force it. Also change Prerendered Frames here to 1

3. how to understand the FoV-slider:

move the slider to the left for higher values/results
it is vertical FoV, to calculate normal Fov use this link:
http://www.rjdown.co.uk/projects/bfb...calculator.php

4. sharper Textures:
Ingame-AF to bilinear and force 16xHQ through your CP.

I have read on the official forum that the Alien can indeed teleport so that he always stays in the same area as the player
