Alien: Isolation...

I've done everything now. Survivor Mode is flawed though. the first basement level has a user who completed it in 1 second so he's naturally at the top of the scoreboard. Cheaters gonna cheat.

Anyone who's struggling in certain areas...turn off the music. It's a bit of a red herring for Alien approaches and also without it on, you'll have a far better chance of hearing where the Alien is.

Medical is the first real run in with the Alien, just use headphones and motion tracker, take it slow and you can stealth through it. It just takes a bit of patience and a lot of hiding, the beds are good. The Alien isn't that smart.

Oh, get used to this gameplay. The Alien is tethered to you most of the game.

I would say it is one of the toughest parts of the game. Probably because it is a shock to the system how the game play suddenly changes.

Indeed...its one of the most scary parts as you arent used to having this thing tailing you....after 10 more hours of it, you learn how to avoid the thing and he becomes more of a nuisance!

There is NO. WAY. he will complete the game carrying on like that. He'll either get a heart attack, or eventually give up :) The game doesn't ever let up.

You need to really zen all that stuff out.

He gave up :(

The game does let up though! You get plenty of down time between alien encounters where the alien isnt active on the level.

Completed it on hard yesterday, amazing...game! GOTY for me.

Holy flippin' moly, just encoutered the Alien for the first time:

Right after the cutscene where the guy gets tail-kebabed (Axel is it?) and you call for the train and have to wait with the really creepy music. The train arrived and I ran onboard, but I didnt run quite far enough into the train to get the pop-up saying press A to close the door and depart. Instead I stood in the doorway like a noob expecting the door to close automatically and the freakin' thing jumped down right in front of me from the ceiling. It scared the absolute **** out of me.

I looked on youtube for vids of this moment but I couldnt find any where someone had done the same thing, I wonder if people know that the Alien does infact show up if you dont depart the train.

Excellent game so far, loving it.

Aha so I was tense and terrified for a reason!

I did the same thing after standing around for a couple of minutes ;) It scared the crap out of the kids who were sat watching me Haha

God I cant stop playing this game.....literally loving it.

Cant believe I got 3/4 through the game before realising the Androids are easy to kill with a stun (baton or emp mine) then just batter them to death with your spanner!

I never tried to use an EMP until I got to 'that' section so I thought they were for something else. Used two EMPs throughout the entire game thanks to my overly ammo cautious play.

Not been playing this for a few days. Had a game tonight and bloomin' eck it is good. The break certainly made fear of the alien fresh again.
I am going through on hard and had been progressing through the medical centre, a little stuck at various stages and to be frank, I was getting every so slightly bored.
Loaded it up tonight and I have experienced my most Psychologically/physically, immeresed ingame, single player, hell any player, experience ever.
Up there forever with the likes of zoning out for my first epic score playing space invaders. :D Just brilliant.

It is those bio hazard style suits they wear that makes them immune to EMP, the regular working joes you see outside the core can be shocked.
