Alien: Romulus - Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead) to write/direct

Sequel in the works

I didn't really like the ending or any continuation of it where the plot went, I'm not against the main characters story line continuing but it feels a bit contrived if they had continued alien encounters and/or too on the nose with the previous movies.

Personally I'm not against them making another Alien(s) movie but they need to do better on the plot aspect and an original work really rather than try and take Romulus somewhere (even if it leans on some of the world building from this movie).

The next movie is set 17 days after Romulus.

Did anyone Rewatch 3 to decide where this sits in their rank?

I watched the assembly cut 1 day after seeing Romulus at the cinema, I forgot how boring and slow it was, ending was miles better than Romulus, but I gave Rolmulus the nod in the end.

3 is a way better movie in its own right, but Romulus is the better Alien(s) movie. Neither are a patch on Alien or Aliens though.

Which one - the theatrical release or assembly cut version?

I'm a huge fan of the assembly cut (which matches the novelisation) but not so much the theatrical version.

I can't remember which I watched now, didn't interest me enough to rewatch it.

Behind the scenes part on the synthetic. Honestly thought in the movie it looked odd, almost 2d facially in some scenes.
