Aliens and UFOs explained on Google Video

Bad analogy.
A car is a car.
It has 1 wheel in each corner, a wheel to steer with, lights at the front, lights at the back, a window at the front and sides and maybe at the back as well.
UFO's are all shapes and sizes and don't conform to a standard.
I don't think Aliens put go faster stripes down their craft.

They look like they mostly conform to a standard to me, you'll find most common ufo's that seem to have advanced propulsion and cloaking technologies are the disk, saucer and cigar type spherical/curved shapes, the triangular and edged kind are more likely man made military stealth based craft but there are many variations just like our vehicles.

Urm, saucer, spherical and cigar shaped all sound different to me. It isn't common ground.

It's like saying a triangular football is similar to a spherical one, because it's both leather and black and white. The fundamental shape is entirely different.

It could be a different model designed by the aliens, perhaps, but come on, it's unlilkely. It's far more likely that these 'eye witnesses' are people who want to get on TV, get on the radio, get in magazines, get paid for telling a story. Easy money for them really.

I thought my categories of curved and edged was quite simple and i didn't feel the need to add possible energy based craft etc but they can be lumped into common categories and it doesn't make them any less plausible, you also got to remember people do see things differently when asked later about it, a disk craft above could be a sphere or a saucer, a cigar could be a disk or saucer from the side, see its not all straight forward like most things in life.

I also think you'll find a majority of witnesses just want to let others know what they have seen like im sure you would, most people don't bother to tell the authorities or media but i bet if you asked all your friends and family they'd have many odd stories of things they've seen or experienced on any number of odd things not just ufo's which an undeniable many have, no doubt many are just mistaken, theres still a hardcore of photo and witness evidence.

When all the believers can agree on one spaceship shape and one alien shape then I'll start to take it a bit more seriously.

Why exactly? We have many different types of vehicles and people so this sort of argument is rather beside the point.

No there have been distinct eye witness accounts of people describing a cigar shaped object. Clearly and concisely as a cigar in the air. I remember on "Alien Insiders" on Living TV of a fat redneck woman telling us about how a cigar shaped object flew directly over her head. A disc/sphere doesn't look like a cigar when viewed underneath.

People love the paranormal. They love the idea of something out of this world occurring. "A pot fell down on Granddad's birthday. That was our dead Nan saying hello to him!" Not just the fact that gravity made the teetering pot fall onto the ground.

"A strange light in the sky! - that's an alien from Mars!" Not that it's a Boeing 747 pitching to the left as it passes over your city, on it's way to Dallas airport.

Show me a photo of an alien spacecraft.

Witness are a little less hardcore than you think. Witnesses can lie in order to gain publicity, witnesses can lie in order to gain fame. Witness can be mistaken, especially when they're a witness of a UFO, which as the title suggest, is unidentified.

What about all the different species of aliens described? Some are small and green, whilst others are really tall and thin and grey. Not slight differences attributed to how people saw them at a different angle, but different species.

I've seen more evidence for ufos and likely aliens visiting us than against, you've probably already seen some good video and photos and theres plenty of stuff on the net to research if you need, your other points are partly what i was already trying to say, theres variations to everything and no doubt quite a bit left to possibility but theres still some good evidence and witnesses out there as well that are hard to deny, you only have to look at the disclosure project to see theres far more reality to this subject than sceptics would like.

I've seen some amazing videos and photos but I've seen nothing to convince me that any of them come from other planets.

I actually had an encounter this morning.
I walked to the bottom of my street and looked over the roundabout and saw a cigar/round shaped craft that was very dimly lit and going on and off. It actually kept changing shape and there were roundabout lights but this looked nothing like them. For about two minutes I was enthralled and trying to make out what it was. It was only when I got to my destination at the other side of the roundabout and the mist wasn't as strong that I saw the lampost it was standing on and it was an intermittent light. I got in my mates car and told him to look up at the strange light and straightaway he said "ET".
Now the point is that if I hadn't got to the other side of the roundabout I would still be wondering what this strange object was.

I had some other encounters here - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=8388459&postcount=110

Not sure if its been posted already but theres another good video on google, search for "Ufo The Greatest Story Ever Denied", i think its a fairly new one?

**update after 17 years**

It was really interesting to read this thread from 17 years ago, sort of like a time capsule :) And even better, I can bump and update what I’ve discovered because there was a lot of hope expressed that in the future (now) there would be greater clarity, and the good news, on a personal level, is, there is extreme clarity, which I’m happy to share with anyone reading this.

Compared to exchanges I sometimes have and read online today, I’m actually impressed by the quality of this thread. I guess now, the Internet is infested with bots and it’s hard to tell if you are talking to a real person, but back then it’s probably fair to think, most of the people in this thread were real and giving their honest opinions.

Obviously the evidence in the op, in the form of videos will no longer be available, however, I did figure out the alien / ufo issue as it has been an interest of mine for decades and I never stopped digging through every book and piece of evidence I could find.

My overall conclusion, all these years later is that UFOs are sometimes alien space craft, which are sometimes manned and sometimes unmanned. It turns out that ETs have been present in Earth orbit for millennia and today the space near our planet is crowded with their craft. Although the recent buzz about tic tac, which were videos made by the Navy around 20 years ago, despite being hearlded as the best evidence of ET presence are actually human made drones. So I’m not saying everything is alien, not even that which is widely considered the best evidence. Just like in the Cold War, when they are suggesting UFOs are ET spacecraft, they are covering up a black project, in those days Blackbird. Tic tac is actually a Raytheon made unmanned reconnaissance drone called Blackraven. They like their black prefix!

One way that my knowledge has developed is that I’m not so interested in UFOs, once I established some of them were alien, I wanted to know about the aliens of course, because that’s the really interesting question, to know something about their culture and in the process to learn more about humanity. One of the main highlights is that many ETs look human (many do not), and step down to the surface to live as humans, carry out their missions or simply go shopping for the day, because it’s easy enough to resupply from Earth’s surface for some things.

Before I present a list of updated evidence bear in mind, I’ve seen all the evidence that is publicly available over the past few decades, most of which isn’t available to view anymore. So the evidence I present now, has already been vetted through my personal filters, which have developed over the years due to everything I have learnt and all the criticism I have read. That said, I don’t expect anyone to believe any of the evidence I present, or agree with me, I’m just doing this for completion, to update the time capsule. It’s so refreshing to see this post still exists, if it makes it through this round (because censorship is greater online these days), then maybe I’ll update it again in another 20 years and we’ll see where we are again.

As for me, I wrote the op just after I completed my first degree; in the summer of 2006, with a degree in Psychology. Several months later I met the woman who today, is the mother of our 2 children. The year after I was a medical student and I have now been a doctor for 12 years. I specialise in anaesthetics, which I started in 2015. I’m writing all this because I just want the reader to know that I’m a grounded (family) and functional (tax payer) member of society, and this is my hobby. It’s not an addiction, as you can sense from my post count, I’m highly selective with my time.

And finally, I’ve already told you my conclusion, so some of what I’m going to share is very alien, to the point that it is understandably hard to believe. When I wrote the op, at the end of my science degree, I was a proud eliminative materialist, but this subject has totality reshaped my understanding of materialism. I now view the material world as something which can be explored and manipulated just as scientists and engineers do, but that exists because of something more fundamental, that being consciousness. And the more you learn about aliens, the better this point is understood. So from now on, what I share is going to seem especially weird to a group of, mostly guys, who like technology. I find this sort of group, just like my colleagues in anaesthetics are heavily materialistic. So prepare yourself, this is going to get really weird, however, if you think about it, it couldn’t really be any other way!

I’ll get started shortly, maybe today, maybe in the coming days, in the meantime feel free to post and show me what the views are, on this forum today, share the insights, and breadth of your own views. Sorry for any delay but the young children require a lot of my attention.

Hi ritcH thanks for the update, I was surprised to see this thread popped back up! I am genuinely curious to see you present your evidence for our perusal on each of the parts I bolded! :)

It's ironic that your reply reads like a chatbot.

I personally dont know what to believe anymore, i've spent quite a lot of time on the UFO subreddits and I have come to the conclusion that the UFO community is full of grifters drip feeding nonsense with nothing to back things up, I know one thing though, I cant shake the feeling that the world we live in is not all that it seems.

While it is likely that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe, it is almost certain that such intelligent species are separated by such extreme distances (and also separated in time by potentially billions of years) that they will never contact each other or be aware of each other's existence at all. I recommend studying some basic astronomy and cosmology if this seems wrong to you.

Even if we assume they can travel at the speed of light, this still holds true. If we assume they can travel faster than light speed, then by definition they can also travel through time. Any species with such advanced technology would easily be able to observe earth, gain any information they wanted, extract samples (i.e. abduction) and go back in time to return them immediately after they were taken, i.e. we'd have zero knowledge or evidence that it was ever happening at all. So therefore all the 'UFO sightings' we have now are nothing to do with aliens.

Yes military and civilian personnel see all sorts of crazy stuff in the sky they can't explain. 99.9% of the time it's natural phenomena or weather balloons or just their imagination. Anyone who works in the criminal justice system (police/lawyers/judges) will tell you that witness testimony is by far the least reliable source of evidence, humans are utterly crap at recalling even basic information.

50 years ago a lot of people believed in non-existent creatures like the loch ness monster or big foot or whatever. They could be forgiven for their beliefs at the time. These days everyone carries around a decent quality video camera 24/7 (mobile phone), so if such creatures existed there would be high quality video of them all over youtube by now, but there isn't because they don't exist. The same argument applies to aliens. All the videos out there purporting to show aliens are a blurry low quality mess despite the advances in camera quality. I can send a 6yr old child out with a smartphone and they can capture good quality video of even fast moving objects like birds (because auto-focus and optical/electronic image stabilisation technology has come such a long way), but adults with DSLRs and time to practice can't capture the aliens they claim exist? The videos are of crappy quality deliberately because the author is trying to hide the fact that what they are capturing is easily explainable as something other than aliens.

The fact that the US military industrial complex is very cagey/secretive about supposed UFO sightings is also simple to explain. Some of those sightings are undoubtedly genuine sightings of experimental military aircraft. If they belong to the US then they don't want to reveal any details that may give foreign militaries information about their experimental craft, or even confirm that they exist at all. If the experimental aircraft belongs to a foreign military, the US military will not want to give away any information regarding how much they already know about said foreign craft, nor give away any info regarding the equipment and methods they use to detect and analyse such foreign aircraft. The US industrial military complex are more than happy to encourage rumours about aliens in order to distract from the real technological advances they are making in unmanned flight, weapons, radar etc, it's nothing more than your run-of-the-mill disinformation campaign. And it's working pretty well as evidenced by this very thread.
