Aliens : Colonial Marines - FPS ( They're back ! )

This is a quote from someone replying to the IGN review and i agree.

"The thing that's most annoying to me is how Gearbox have embargoed reviews, knowing they're got a terrible, unfinished game. Reading some of their previews and interviews, they've essentially been lying about the state of the game to increase sales - it borders on fraud. I know no company is going to admit their product is terrible but it's like they've been actively deceitful.

I await their comments on poor sales to be due to "marketing" or something equally uninspired."

Left in limbo or not its clearly a game that has been rushed to market for one reason only.

Greed...

Sales won't be poor, mate of mine says they have been flying out the door at the shop he works, thing is you can almost guarantee they will be coming back just as fast as they leave and ending up in the used game bin.

The story also doesn't make sense, as we know Hicks was put in Cryo with Ripley,Jonsey and Newt at the end of Aliens! At the begining of Alien 3 he is dead he died while in cryo yet hes in this game based 17 weeks after Aliens!
 
Just found out that my Key has always worked but the email that showed the key and on the website makes it look like one key.

Not happy about this, clearly they need to update their system to show the differences.

21 minutes till I have downloaded this. Have you come accross many glitchs or bugs yet?

Also does MP gameplay have VOIP, what's the service like?

A few minor glitches. The AI pathing can sometimes run around in circles a bit, that's usually if you stray from the intended course to explore the level to pick up ammo, heatlh, or hidden items like audio logs, dog tags or weapons like Hicks Shotgun, Ripleys flamethrower or Hudsons pulse rifle etc.

Found one other glitch. If you turn walk onto toggle its possible to run while walking but you still walk. Lol. Minor bug though.

Haven't seen Aliens walk around like that video said. Some rise up and walk when close to you to attack you. Others spit and hide and flank you from above or the sides. Some stay still and then leap on top of you from a distance.

The game has its own voice chat, which seems good. Played co-op briefly with a friend for a couple of hours. Didn't notice any problems. However there is only one of you during cut scenes.

Not played MP yet. Gonna finish the single player campaign first. I'd recommend starting on ultimate bad ass to get the proper aliens experience as well.

The 2nd level is kinda crappy, but it gets a lot better after that. You'll see when you play it. Just got to level 4 hadleys hope. Its good to be back having just watched Aliens a few days back. Lots of film easter eggs!

AvP '10 looks much better graphically, lots of jaggies and poor textures here but it does capture the look of the films fairly well.

I'm getting tearing even with vsync where there are flashing lights etc which is annoying.

Only played the first mission so hard to judge and it seems fairly average but by no means terrible.
 
Just reading some reviews, glad I didn't preorder this, as I came close to going all in and getting the collector[s edition with the loader model!
