Aliens : Colonial Marines - FPS ( They're back ! )

It is pretty close, but both of them pale in comparison to the horror that is Street Fighter The Movie The Game on PS1 ..... I still awake in cold sweats screaming sometimes :eek:

They are now being sued hopefully this will send out a message to other companies.

They'll get away with it. These big companies always do and they will continue to shovel **** games to us punters.

They'll use the excuse that it was demo, unfinished, incomplete game code and not the final version and that changes were made before release. Theres not much that can be said about that or disputed, its their game and they changed it before the final release to the consumer so anything up to that point is not representative of the end product (a line that is used all the time to cover their asses). It would be very hard to prove anything other.

Dont get me wrong, I hope they get completely grilled for it, heads roll and fines are paid but I just cant see it happening. They'll walk away with a smack on the wrist and still with all the money they got from paying customers. Game developers should be politicians.

We, as consumers, should be the ones to punish them for producing bad games.

1. Do not pre-order.
2. Read reviews/ play demo (if exists)
3. If crap, do not buy game

Why do people end up paying good money for crap games? Because they choose to. It really is that simple.
 
Man, despite all the decent looking visuals of the demo (I don't think it looked THAT amazing anyway) I thought the actual take on the aliens idea was a bit pish in the first place. Shooter with aliens, no suspense - which was the best thing about the first one (and also any good horror game)

I agree when it comes to gearbox software, as this is the second time they've produced a really sub par game in recent years that was billed as a top release.
 
Anyone else played this since the last update? Did some co op last night and it is so mmuh better. Lighting and shadows have been improved, grain can be turned off, I think is what they should have released in the first place
 
Friend of mine picked this up for £12, been playing it a bit with him. Could have been great, it really could...
