I found the game play and story pretty interesting, if you see it for somewhere cheap and are willing to pay give it a try.

I found the game play and story pretty interesting, if you see it for somewhere cheap and are willing to pay give it a try.
Picked it up from the Sega site myself - wasn't bothered by the graphics, even left the film grain on and thought the whole thing looked at least adequate, and occasionally pretty cool. Enjoying the firefights and the whole aliens atmosphere.
The story though, bloody hell! They could have opened it up to the public, picked the best entry, and it would have been a damn sight better than what they came up with. So much utter nonsense in such a short space of time
Going to persevere for a bit to see if it starts to make more sense, and just for the sight-seeing, but not hopeful

4A Games could do amazing things with this license and their Metro engine. ACM wasn't terrible in a Superman 64 or Big Rigs way, it was just extremely mediocre and failed realize the superb potential of a Colonial Marines game.
I didn't realise you could patch fun into a game.

i played the xbox version months back, got this cheap from sega.

Finished this last night and feel quite a bit more negative about it now. I think the novelty of seeing Bishop and hearing the rifles blip wore off after a couple of hours.
The graphics were poor in most areas but I could look past that somewhat but the ai was atrocious with allies and enemies acting up then the back half of the story was just plain weird.
Glad ive played it though but even more glad I only paid a few quid for the privilege!

Each to their own, but IMO, it's got no atmosphere, is one of the least proficient FPS games I've ever played, and I'd consider myself an Aliens fan.
Subjected myself to it on a friends PC, desperately trying to find some redeeming factor. In the end, I didn't even want to play it for free.

I agree, as a shooter it was pretty good. The story and what they did with it........... But yeah forget the story, play in the dark and crank the sounds up and it is well worth a fiver imo. It is not scarey but the darkness and headphones do help with it.
it is my personal worst game of last ten years closely follow by the duke nukem remake.
You know damn well that if it's dead last, with Duke Nukem second last it's a turd.
