Fighting soldiers is fine in small amounts... Having a block button vs aliens isn't.
Kinda agree on the first point but definitely agree on the second. The soldiers fighting is really annoying as its so damn clunky. The hit boxes and amount of damage they can take is all over the place, as are the animations. The aiming also has a retarded "gentle" auto aim where no matter how well you aim something like the pulse rifle at half a guys head behind a box, it hits the box 99% of the time.
The game was clearly not designed for single player in mind either as some sections in the game greatly favour coop in terms of difficulty, suspense and fun. The raven level where the alien is chasing you is brilliant as I was welding doors open whilst my friend will was welding the previous door shut behind us. The alien still came through the doors at a good pace though to really make us panic

Theres a section later in the game with fuel lines thats just luck of the drawer if you can do it solo or not depending on your difficulty. Playing on ultimate badass level solo makes it next to impossible to do if a stalker appears as it just 1 hits me everytime my character is doing the daft animation...
I love the idea of the legendary weapons, but I hate the idea that you can hold like 10 weapons at once as it really breaks the survival element the game seriously needs in it. If you just had a pulse rifle, shotgun on your back and a pistol, the game would have been far more interesting and survival based, if they didn't just throw ammo at you of course. Its pretty much impossible to run out of ammo in the game though due to all the weapons you can hold at once :S
I've not finished the game yet, but I think the best level (hadleys hope) has been and gone it seems.
Not tried multiplayer yet, but I'll have a go at some point soon.
