Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

AW3225QF owners, have any of you had an issue with your monitor not turning on unless you unplug the power cable (sometimes for 10s, sometimes it requires leaving it unplugged for 48hrs). I've just had a replacement delivered so hopefully I was unlucky the first time.

Argh it's back! How is this even possible I manually wiped away any trace, Windows Update must be pushing it through in the background??

I had that happen with an Asus monitor when the PSU had gone bad/faulty
Also had the same thing happen years ago with Shuttle PC's when the PSU's used to go bad

Siurely 49" and 32:9 is genuinely too wide to actually make use of, even from a productivity standpoint it doesn't make sense to me.

I'll find out soon, costs me nothing so :p

I could even wall mount it above the 32" QF which would actually be ideal, little windows spread out like a MAD HAXX0R.

There isn't a stand out that has the height to host a 49" monitor though unless I wall mount it vertically on one side, that would be utter comedy actually

Could you not hire someone from a local charity shop to just hold it for you vertically whenever you want to use it that way?

the 4k 240hz monitor is the best monitor ive ever owned. I know some people dont like the curve, but its so subtle that if you're sitting in front of it you barely notice it
Completely agree. I forget it has a curve as it is so subtle versus most curved monitors which are far too aggressive.. I was hugely against curves, but the price of the AW3225QF was £300+ less than other 4k 240hz OLED monitors when i bought it last year so it was a no braider.

Exactly, i get why people would not want 1000r or 1400r curved monitors as it does feel too much for regular use outside of gaming, but this is almost flat.

The pricing was also a big factor use, getting the asus or msi versions in the UK was costing £1200 at least, with some being even higher despite their local prices being reasonable-ish. The alienware was under £900 in the UK
