Alienware announces the AW2725DF and AW3225QF (worlds first 4k 240hz and worlds first 1440p 360hz QD-OLED monitors - launches January 2024)

Thanks to a comment on reddit, this is now fixed!

If you are in 8-bit mode then the automatically manage colours for apps setting is off by default, it only turns on when switching to 10-bit, so you just have to turn that off. Seems this toggle got activated recently somehow, maybe from the recent Windows feature update as Ive had 24H2 since launch and never saw an issue until this recent Patch Tuesday:

Good idea. Let me know how you get on.
Calling Dell tomorrow, don't expect to get an answer from them. Had to leave my AW3225QF unplugged all yesterday and use my old monitor. Tried it again today, all working. Switched it off as I was busy doing other stuff all day and now it won't even turn back on!! Getting very frustrated with this. It was supposed to be my stepup into the OLED world and you would expect better when you fork out £840 for a monitor. Surely it can't be only me and you who are experiencing this fault??

It's very frustrating. I saw someone on reddit with the same issue as well, so it's definitely happening, but seems pretty contained for now.

I was on 8 bpc in the Nvidia control panel. Should I change that to 10 bpc?

Contacted Dell this morning, came across as this is the first they've heard of this problem. Made a note of it and advised me to return it to Amazon. Amazon return sorted, UPS picking it up in the next 24/48hours. Full refund, no offer to replace so back to square one now. Really like the monitor but I'm loath to get another one in case of the same problem.

Good outcome. There are plenty of other options on the market if you want a 32in 4k 240hz monitor, or perhaps go for one of the newer 27in versions.

If you like the monitor just get the same again.

You can't be continuously that unlucky.

Interesting. I always turned my off straight away when not in use. I had it RMA'd. Keep an eye on it. It got very frustrating when i wanted to game at the weekend and the monitor was dead until the Monday. Very strange.
I had this issue with the 34" Ultrawide and even after a replacement it still happened, I had a back and forth with the senior team at Dell and in the end they gave me a full refund even 7 months after buying the monitor.

I was actually looking at the 4k 32" but hearing the issue is still there has put me off

Oh gosh..... I really hope that doesn't happen to me. Lord have mercy. Will report back if I have any updates. Hopefully it is a case of no news is good news.

Does anyone have the 27 inch monitor? Any feedback?
I have the AW2725DF sorry if you meant a different model, came in part way through. I’m really fussy with screens, and love it. It took a little bit of getting use to some gsync flicker, I don’t notice it now.

Use it for PC / PS5 and work (a lot of PowerPoint and excel stuff). If I’m working for more than an hour I might turn off gsync. Other wise it’s worth it, I don’t want to change it as I love it so much.

I do kinda wish it had an aux port for the console, other than that it’s perfect. Always had high refresh 25 ips and couldn’t go back.

My AW3225QF is completely dead. No power.

I’ve swapped power cables but it’s made no difference. FFS

EDIT: I tried @FTRUFC’s suggestion of leaving it unplugged for 10 seconds and it turned on.
