Reading Kwadwo Asamoah's name a lot today, anyone know anything about him? (he's being linked with Man Utd hence why I'm asking)

I've seen him a handful of times and from what I know he's a box to box midfielder but more defensive than attacking.

Quite how good he is I don't know.

About as much as Ive read also - meant to be a price tag around £10m I seem to recall (if you can rely on any price mentioned by the media lol)

Heard a rumour that Arsenal are also keeping an eye on Kawaga:p.

And looks like we definitely arent after M'Vila as Wenger said there was no truth to the rumour. Read it the other day on my daily travels through the internet....shame really, i hope its just Wenger playing his cards close to his chest or something.
 
I loved Teddy as a player, especially at Utd, but thats never gonna happen

Utd would never get value for money on the high cost of his transfer /wage demands, even if Utd can afford his wages /image rights deal without breaking the bank with other current player's new deals

He used to be good back in the days when he played for Norwich, however he has never been the same since he A) Got injured playing for England and B) Moved to West Ham.

Doubt he will move again, he's 32 so will most likely want to spend his last few years playing in England.

EDIT: Will be interesting to know the full details on the M'Vila issue, I don't see why Arsenal would reject him as he is young and very good, would get into the Arsenal team with his eyes closed..
 
How many first team players can Arsenal replace is the answer to that basically.

WE're seemingly trying to buy a replacement for Gervinho already, a replacement for Mert and, in central mid we have Arteta and Song, Song is Wengers little golden boy and 90% of the Arsenal fans think Song is a great DM..... where is M'villa going to play and instead of who?

He's just thrown a useless pratt in Rosicky a new contract after about 5 half decent games in the past 3 seasons, Ramsey is still young and clearly Wenger thinks he'll come good... just where will M'villa, for 15-20mil + 60k+ wages fit into this team, who will Wenger have to bump out to make it worthwhile spending first team transfer money and wages on him, answer is, no one.

In reality, Ramsey has been utter **** all season, Rosicky isn't remotely worth his contract, Diaby, lol and M'villa would be a great replacement for all of them allowing Arteta to play a more forward role.

Either way, I don't see many people agreeing to sign for Arsenal before we get 3rd, or if 4th, before we see if Chelsea fluke a win in the final. Euro's sends managers stupid, they'll overpay and give higher wages to anyone who has a great Euro's even if they aren't worth anywhere near that now so its in the players best interest to wait till post Euro's realistically.

It wouldn't completely shock me if any contracts "done" already are dependant on finishing position "ie I'll join you over summer but only if you get in X competition, if not I'll sign for someone else in said competition".

Until City or Chelsea come barging in and say right we want him and we will pay him £100k+ a week:p. Not that i think that will happen as so far it seems like Utd are the only ones being seriously linked with him although i read the other day that Arsenal are also looking at him as well. But then today i read that Wenger thinks that this summers transfer market will be quiet for us. Not really something i wanted to hear from him but lets see what happens.

Well by all accounts City are having trouble agreeing wages with Hazard so it certainly wouldn't be a surprise ;)

He just got an assist as well, Dortmund winning 3-1 :cool:
