:D...Utd fans best hope RVP doesnt get injured now or else they are pretty much screwed:p

Yep, then again name me a club where they wouldn't struggle with their two top strikers out. I am just glad we have RvP to depend on rather than Welbeck, Chico and Berbatov.

I thought you might have caught onto the slightly less than serious nature of my post but obviously not.....

No one in the history of football has bought a world class striker in case their current striker gets a long term layoff so I would hazard a guess that Fergie didn't foresee this and buy RvP for that reason.

Real madrid with owen?

Wouldnt say thats a good thing, depending on RVP with his atrocious injury record. But luckily hes managed to stay fit last season and so far fit this season.

As it stands, if RvP did get injured, we have Berbatov, Welbeck and Hernandez. Three strikers who are perfectly capable of scoring.

It's not something I'm worried about. If Arsenal lost Giroud for example (if he even turns out to be any good), they're completely jaffed.

Thats the thing, he doesn't have a horrendous injury record. Look it up. He isn't one of those players that gets a niggle or a knock and it takes them out for months. I doubt we will have any injury issues with RvP other than the standard ones that all players are susceptible to.

City wouldn't win the league with Balotelli and Dzeko as their strike partnership. And Owen wasn't bought as cover for their "better" strikers.

And it was largely down to poor decisions from Arsenal's medical team, too.

Except Nani (at this point) is more likely to be sold than Rooney

I was just pointing out our best front 3 compared to RM and Barca.

Berba is looking to leave to Italy in the coming days. He hasn't even been mentioned in our attack options during SAF's press conferences... Then he goes onto say that RVP finally gives us maturity, a senior figure and someone with lots of experience upfront. Poor Berba, getting fed to the dogs. :/

Not sure what jaffed means but I think Arsenal can cope without Giroud fine, they just have to pick 3 forwards from Podolski, Arshavin, Walcott, Gervinho, Bendtner, Chamakh, Park etc. They have an abundance of international forwards at their disposal, it isn't like other positions such as DM where they have a shortage. Admittedly not all of those are world beaters but realistically for the level Arsenal are competing at it should be fine.

Stuffed! :p

I'm talking about them from a centre forward perspective, though, only Giroud plays there 'naturally', they don't seem to use Park at all, and Bendtner is leaving apparently.

Park could be amazing, but if he was, surely they would have played him a bit more? I'm not sure Walcott/Gervinho/Podolski as a lone striker would be clinical enough to get you 3rd/4th.

Spur only bid €12M (£9M) for Willian, and want to spread the payment over four years! Shaktar want €30M for Willian. CEO of Shakhtar Donetsk: http://shakhtar.com/en/news/23113

"As of now, we have only one official proposal from Tottenham – an offer worth €12 million to be paid in annual instalments."

Arsenal may be trying to get Cheick Tiote: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ick-tiote-could-be-on-his-way-to-the-emirates Can't really see this one happening unless Arsenal are willing to throw silly money at Newcastle.

I didn't watch the post-match interviews after the Liverpool - City game but supposedly in either them or the post match press-conferences, Mancini's claimed that Agger was never a target (doubt that but hopefully that means he's staying) and Rodgers said he hopes to bring in a few more players before Friday.

I'd imagine that a few will have to leave to make room for those arrivals and with Adam not even making the bench today, I suspect he'll be one of those making way. Spearing too looks to be off with Bolton reportedly being after him. I'd probably put a pound on Carroll not being at Anfield beyond Friday too.

Sinclair deal done at 6.2m apparently. Very happy with that price.

Brian Marwood apparently at the Napoli game as well, I wonder if that means Dzeko is off and Cavani is coming in!!111

Sinclair isn't too bright is he, why would he think he is going to have a better experience at City than he did at Chelsea?

He was on a youth salary at Chelsea, and would have continued to get a low salary and he wasn't close to first team. He moved away, he's an established prem player who had a pretty good season. If he was sitting on the Chelsea bench a few years ago it would be on probably 10-15k a week, he'll probably get at least 60-80k a week to do the same at City.

Think he's doing alright ;)
