dempsey's good value for £6m but i don't get why levy didn't use the £6m (or half of it) to make sure moutinho happened, probably would've been a better acquisition long term.

if dempsey makes double figures each season he's with us, fair enough but we're very short on craft in the centre now.

I'm pretty optimistic still, I'm sure when we come up against an opponent who doesn't only want to defend for 90 minutes we'll stick it in the net, we have to with the amount of chances we've been creating. A new right back and a properly defensive midfielder would've been nice but when Wilshere comes back I think Arteta can make that deeper role his own, with Cazorla and Wilshere putting it on a plate for Giroud. :D

So the club just let Carroll go and had no intentions of bringing somebody in?

The club were mad to let him go without having somebody already in place to replace him but that money was earmarked to be spent. He wasn't loaned out simply the cut the wage bill as you've gone on about all summer.

Not that Kane is important for us but it shows just how weak we are in that position that I'm even posting about it??

Don't see his replacement, and maybe they should consider getting the replacement before hand if it isn't just his wages they want rid off and rather a better player.

There's no way Moutinho's happening. He's about as far away from England in Europe as you can get and he, to our knowledge, hasn't had a medical. There's more chance of Dempsey reverting to Liverpool in my opinion.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Friedel moving elsewhere yet. He's not going to want to sit on the bench, and I reckon he's still better than 75% of the keepers in the league. Who needs a keeper?

I suppose we will know come Jan whether Wenger will strengthen the team more. But I was hoping we would get a decent DM in.

I'm just really hoping we score some goals this weekend against Liverpool and Wilshere coming back couldn't happen any sooner.
