It's not as though Chelsea have a joke of a team. Their 'keepers performed well recently, and has been highly regarded for ages. They have an extremely good defence, and a very good midfield (especially with Marin, and now Hazard)... whilst the only real question marks are up front (but Torres has been looking better, recently, then they have Sturridge and Lukaku who undoubtably have ability/potential), and the managerial vacancy (but I'm sure they'll get someone good in).
No, they undoubtedly have a decent team. Currently they don't even have a manager unless something has happened behind the scenes.
I just think there will have been some money factor involved, but we'll have to wait and see if that is revealed.
I don't see the huge appeal of what is more or less an excellent but flukey Champion's League win. It can't just have been down to that.
How would you rank the chances of each team, next year? I'd put Citeh as favourites, but I wouldn't put Manyoo miles ahead of Chelsea...
It depends who Man Utd sign, and whether the new signings do well (for all teams). If Man Utd don't sign anyone (heaven forbid) then I could see Chelsea getting ahead of us, and even Arsenal if they get the likes of M'Vila and co.
I think a lot will ride on this transfer market, Arsenal are looking to significantly strengthen, City will no doubt get a couple of top players, Chelsea seem to be going on a rampage (Hazard, Hulk, Modric, etc).
I can't see Spurs doing much really.
Spot on. Hazard announced he was coming to Manchester then all of sudden he signs for Chelsea? Blatantly a case of he was sure one of the two Manchester clubs would finally cave and pay his agent the fee he wanted and when it was obviously neither would he's then been left with Chelsea. The whole thing has played out so obviously it's foolish to even question it, not that Chelsea fans will care and why would they? They got the player and have trumped everyone by doing so.
Exactly, they're hardly a clear choice over City and United, especially as it seemed like he wanted to come to Manchester too. I doubt a Champion's League win will have changed his mind. I imagine he watched it and will have seen Chelsea defending for their lives, and as admirable as that is, they hardly spanked Barcelona and Bayern.
