It's the best place for him to go.

Reasons?

Did he say he wants to sign for Chelsea ? I still haven't seen anything where he mentions a team, he is like the riddler , he could mean past European champions

That's what I thought.

But thinking about it, would Sir Alex put up with this nonsense? I seriously doubt it. He probably told him to **** off weeks ago.

I genuinely wouldn't put it past him. As far as I'm concerned, this isn't over until Chelsea release an official statement, you would have thought they would have done already!

Think all reasonable people would have agreed United should have been the best place for him to go, although I feel Sir Alex would disapprove his behaviour in this saga.

I hope we don't embarrass ourselves and say something to the effect of we were never in for him anyway. The time to do that would have been weeks ago, just accept we got mugged off like everyone else and move on.

What can they say? They're not allowed to finalise the deal for a few days are they. They're probably not best pleased his tweet wasn't crystal clear though :p.

And if history is anything to go by X manager will be sacked between 6-24 months later.

I really dont see why fans just refuse to believe that players sign for their club based on monetary reason, do you really think if Hazard had signed for Man Utd it would have been because he has deep feelings for the club? Of course it wouldn't, he'd of signed for us simply because we were willing to (at worst) match City's offer. Had we not been willing to we wouldn't of even been in the running. It all comes down to money and it's stupid to deny otherwise especially in Hazard's case (albeit maybe he's not the one profiting by going to Chelsea)

I wasn't disputing it, I just don't think it shows a lack of ambition.

Not that we would because we (more or less) admitted last summer we were in for both Nasri and Sneijder but the club cant deny every rumour for every player that they're linked with and in some cases allowing a player to be a smokescreen for a different target can work in the clubs favour. I suspect if we were in for him though if asked about it Fergie will tell it like it is..... that between the two of them him and his agent are money grabbing attention seeking whores :p

Really? Is there an embargo on announcing transfers until a certain point? I know the window doesn't officially open until 1st July, but surely they can announce the intention to sign players prior to that? Isn't that what Chelsea have already done with Marin?

Most exciting club in the UK with great prospects. He’ll be in a winning team, have new team built around him and get to play all the time. Let's not forget the prospect of some interesting managers and of course being in London is a far better proposition then being up north. He's made the right choice, let's hope it is made official. :p:D

Lol, how is that bit anything but your own opinion? I think most neutrals would agree that City have the better prospects, and both United and City play more exciting football if that's what you mean, oh and have better stadiums. Not really sure what you're referring to...

I'm sure a few million quid has helped Hazard look past the fact that the team he's joining finished behind a relegation favourite in the league. :p

Watching Sky and Diame saying he was all set to sign for Liverpool before Dalglish got the chop  :o

(he also denies the reports I read that he ever had or failed a medical at United due to a heart problem)
