I expect an in demand, ambitious player to join the club that has the best chance of being the best team in the league, that's not Chelsea they finished 6th.
It could be Chelsea next season.
Who knows what was said to him? He could have been told we have Hulk, Modric and Falcao joining with X manager coming in.
It hardly shows a lack of ambition to choose Chelsea.
Disappointing, of course, but rather Chelsea than City. They'll be as good a fit for him as United would have been.
I do find it a little strange that he had so many concerns about playing time and playing position but has signed for a team that currently has no manager. He could end up with a manager who loves 4-4-2.

Now as hilarious as that would be I'd hope they'd want their new 35mill winger to make an impact.

I really dont see why fans just refuse to believe that players sign for their club based on monetary reason, do you really think if Hazard had signed for Man Utd it would have been because he has deep feelings for the club? Of course it wouldn't, he'd of signed for us simply because we were willing to (at worst) match City's offer. Had we not been willing to we wouldn't of even been in the running. It all comes down to money and it's stupid to deny otherwise especially in Hazard's case (albeit maybe he's not the one profiting by going to Chelsea)

Seems fishy, if I was Chelsea I'd have had a press release within minutes, he's THE big transfer of this window, barring Neymar making a move.
Hasn't HUlk got £80m release clause though, which is outrageous.
Where will Mata play now? He's done very well in centre.
It's the best place for him to go.

Did he say he wants to sign for Chelsea ? I still haven't seen anything where he mentions a team, he is like the riddler , he could mean past European champions
You cant seriously believe a club that has no manager and more than likely wont have their next manager for longer than 12 months is the best place for a young player to go to
