I think most teams in the prem play more attractive football than Chelsea. Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, hell even Wigan for the last month of the season. Chelsea have been solid and efficient most of the time while Abramovich has been owner, but rarely exciting to watch.

One thing's for sure, we're going to need to get some new players pretty sharpish or we'll risk being behind City and Chelsea at this rate, especially if Chelsea get a decent manager.

Mirror reporting we've agreed 6.5m (and maybe Chaplow) for Jay Rodriguez from Burnley!

Pretty cool looking transfer if it goes to plan, Chaplow has had some decent games for us but has also been a terrifying liability at other moments. Trading him for one exciting striker is pretty cool :) (no hooper but I think we have accepted Hooper is staying at Celtic for now)

I hate Piers Morgan most of the time, but I liked this:

What is there to like? At least he's signing for the Champions of Europe, rather than a team that hasn't won anything for 7 seasons... like that certain team Piers is obsessed with. God he's a ****.

Chelsea’s rebuilding grows with £78m Eden Hazard signing

Chelsea will pay a fee of around €40 million (£35.3 million) to Lille, with Hazard having demanded wages of £4.6 million a year net of tax, so around £9  million a year for his new employer. That averages out at £170,000 a week.

In addition his agent, John Bico, who has conducted an aggressive auction has made it clear that he wants a fee of £6 million.

Blimey. Not cheap!

6.5m...!

Didn't think he was worth that much. He wasn't even the top scorer at Burnley :p

McCormack must be worth around 8m then :D

McCormack got 3 more goals last year than Rodriguez so I guess 8m is fair :p

Jay Rodriguez at 22 is supposed to be the next big thing... Well has had our manager and scouting team following him about for best part of a year so I can only hope they are doing the right thing, 6.5m is a lot though! (giving them all a bit of trust as generally they have been making the right decisions)

Do you think you'll keep hold of Snodgrass this summer??

6.5m is a strange gamble for a newly promoted side, I would have expected an established side like Stoke spending that or something.

Snoddy, hmmm, depends, there is serious talk of two firms wanting to buy the club, if one does then he will sign as we will actually be able to spend money which is all Snodgrass wants and who can blame him? The lack of ambition Bates has is so depressing. Such a ****.

Right now though he will certainly leave I think.

and to back up why this is so fishy fishy

http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2752630,00.html

that is them announcing the signing of Marin, which won't go through til July either...

So yeah, this Saga isn't over IMO

It's Robinho all over again!

But seriously, this has to be a done deal - no way he would troll that hard. I imagine Chelsea just weren't prepared to announce it until he has signed tr contract, done a medical and all that jazz.

Apparently Kagawa to Man Utd is a done deal according to the German sports paper 'Kicker' (and some other German press). 15m Euro's with some other clauses in there too.

Hope it's true. :)

Eden Hazard - 192 apps - 50 goals - 38 assists
Shinji Kagawa - 198 apps - 86 goals - 45 assists

Yeah, Kagawa is way better! ;) :D

Apparently this 'Kicker' site are as reliable as it gets in Germany, so that's promising. They're no Daily Mail. :p

Kagawa for 15m would be ace.

Congrats Chelsea on Hazard, some player, and I think we can all tell he's going to be 2012/2013's 'love to hate' figure!

Most of those goals were in Japan weren't they? This season alone Hazard has almost beaten Kagawa's scoring record from his entire time at Dortmund.
