All Three One Plans to be cancelled from today

Don't want to start a new thread, but I took out the Vodafone 20GB & unlimited text and calls for £20 back on 19th February after reading about it in this thread. Although I've been a VF customer for years the deal was too good to miss.

I noticed on my current account last night that VF are billing me the undiscounted thread rather than the £20 price advertised. Calling them on 191 has resulted in them asking me to take 'proof' of the deal to one of their shops in order to progress this as they have no record of the offer. Also curious but this month I've had no advance email with details of my monthly bill on.

I'll go into one of their shops on Monday with a copy of my web order email but expecting this to be a fight, however just wondered if anyone else had any issues with this VF deal?

The bill doesn't say 50% promotional discount anywhere on it does it?

The price plan cost is always £40 but the discount of 50% should be immediately below it on the bill.

All the store will be able to do is to say they've seen your contract. You'll need to call back Customer Services when they've noted this on the account.

No, no mention of a discount anywhere. Just a straight £40 for plan charges.

It's a pain to go into the store but obviously I'll do it to correct the monthly price. Their eforum has recommended live chat and getting them to apply the discount before going back to CS.

I received 2 emails when I made the order. The first has the £20 price on it, exactly like the last time I upgraded in January 2015 (i.e. the discounted price is displayed).

I moved over to the unlimited mins/texts and 8gb data for £16 per month rolling contract about a week ago while i try to find a better deal.... which just came along from EE.

Called up to request a new pac, and got the whole spiel again about how 3 had so many wonderful add-ons at no extra cost, and how I was on a really good deal. That was the last straw, i mentioned she had better the EE deal or give me my pac. Got offered the 12gb for £17... Umm no thanks.

I think with cash back the EE deal will be hard to beat.

The new three sim Only plans don't make sense unless I'm missing something here? They have 200minutes and unlimited data for £20 over 12 months aswell as 200minutes and 30gb data over 12 months for £20. Who would take 30gb data over unlimited for the same price ? It's the same with the £30 unlimited calls and data, there's also a 30gb one for the same price.

No tehtering on the unlimited, tethering allowed on the 30gB?

My letter is in bumping me from the £15 rolling One plan to somethnig on £30, so that's not happening.

I'd take 8Gb for £13 but rolling only, so away I go to try and phone!

I'm still letterless on my 1 month unlimited data £12.90 plan. Really thought I'd have got it by now.

Finally got my letter yesterday, I'll ring them later to opt for the 200 mins unltd data simo, I'll see if I can get them to lower the 20 quid fee down to my current £15 on the basis that it's a lesser package and I pay 4 bills.

That means it wont be long before I get my letter! :( I guess £20 for unlimited data is going rate then?

No it says you have up to 30gb tethering now on the unlimited plan .. Strange it's the same price as the actual 30gb plan though, doesn't make sense.

8gb for £13 isn't bad if your happy with the three coverage.

damn it, when did that 30gb appear, and you can tether all 30gig. will probably change again next month then. as they didn't offer that to me when I called.

edit - hold on, unlimited now 30gb as well? I thought it was 12gb.

sweet
On our All-you-can-eat data plans, you can use up to 30GB of your data each month to create a Personal Hotspot within the UK.

seems like they're listening to customers and finally figured out that getting rid of unlimited doesn't mean they need to so stupidly low tether levels.

I don't see much congestion and it stops people using it as home connection downloading the entire bit torrent catalogue. which was what was causing them issues.
30gb is still a very small amount compared to that.

even people who didn't permantley download but used as a home connection, can easily run up 300+GB

I thought I'd call up and get my PAC code as the EE deal looks pretty good, only to be offered 30GB/mth, AYCE minutes for £20 - not had my letter but assume its coming soon!

Just done it, there's a 30gb tethering allowance with it too, ed ha already covered the guy I dealt with said it started today.

i'm pretty sure there's a better deal...

- Go via quidco - £50 cash back
- on 3's website find offers for existing customers
- £20 deal with ayce data + 200 mins offered at £18 for new contract
- take £18 deal
- transfer number from current contract to new contract via another network
- overall cost per month under £14

Just throwing that out there
