All Three One Plans to be cancelled from today

Transferred my old number onto O2 yesterday.
Must say. The O2 reception around Gloucester is much better than 3 so I'm quite happy I jumped ship.

It's a decent deal tbh - was the best I could get out of them too.
Rang them today and they wouldn't give me a deal anything like people have got on here.
Best they offered me for the 8GB data, unlimited calls and texts was £24 a month, literally wouldn't budge below that, I said I'd pay £18 a month for that deal and he got shirty and said ok so you want your PAC number sir, I will send it in text message.
Been with them 5 years, great retention haha I only used around 5/6gb data a month and never tethered.

I tried to call and ask if I go on the 12 months contract and if he could apply the £3 to that to bring it down to £17, he wouldn't budge. Going on something about the "matrix" and he has to stick to it.
It appears (and I am late to the party) that it is a firm wide policy and they are ALL sticking to it.

Right, called to cancel my iPad contract (don't really use it anymore really), so that saves money.
Called back again to 3's mobile time, this time went to 12 months contract, instead of my previous 1 month rolling, got the 200mins, unlimited data, unlimited text, 12G Tethering (which balances out my iPad's contact going), and also managed to get 2,000 mins to other 3 network thrown in.
I am down overall spending on phone and data so it's all good i guess.

Not at all, I got a different offer depending on which lovely Indian guy I managed to pull out of the lottery. I think they are just happy to take some comission on whatever retention they can get you on, depending how desperate they are.
Same here.. Not in Gloucester but same senario .. Considerably better signal overall .. Always found threes signal on long train journeys like orange in 1995 and only stayed with them due to the one plan being so good value for £15 and decent data speeds when I have a signal of course!
Ok regarding people not getting offered the same 'good deals' others were offered weeks ago (I was in the same boat so took PAC), I think the deals they offer seem to reflect what the other networks are offering at the time. When vodafone were offering 20gb data for £20 people were getting unlimited everything for £20 from three retentions .. However when that deal finished on 3rd March retentions started being stingy with their offers. Right now bt mobile are once again offering 20gb data and unlimited calls/texts for £21 so three might be a bit less tight with their offers if your lucky at the moment.

Missed out last time this offer was on. Currently on o2 paying £16 a month for unlimited texts 2000 mins and 5gb data a month. So in two minds if to go for the 20gb or 3gb plan.
So 3 weeks ago I went to get a new sim and signed up for a new 12 month contract with Three - £20 for all you can eat data, and 12gb tethering. I was previously on £15p/m with unlimited data and had been expecting it to get cancelled/price hiked at any time, so am pretty happy with the deal I got.
If that's with 200 minutes it's the standard price on their website. 200 mins and unlimited data used to be £12.90 on the old tarrifs that are getting cancelled but you couldn't tether on that deal (although a VPN gets round it)

8GB Data, Unlimited Call & Text @ £16
4GB Data, Unlimited Call & Text @ £13 - Gone with this one
Checked back through mine and the most I've used is 2.5GB one month. It usually is below 1GB but nice to know it's there if I need it.
Was going to go with ID mobile but after ringing them they don't offer any kind of WIFI Calling
