All Three One Plans to be cancelled from today

Had mine through too.

I've now switched to Vodafone unlimited mins & texts and 20gb data + 1 year free spotify at £24, but with £144 cash back :)

I don't like the hike in prices at the moment with Three, So currently tempted with BT Mobile (Considering its technically EE) 20GB Data (4G) Unlimited Text/Calls/Wifi for £20 with the £5 discount on a 12 month contract.

I signed up to the EE 16gb plan for £19.99. However, got a bill for £34.99 in the post so doesn't look like the discount has been applied. Looking online seems a common problem.

finally got my letter, was good while it lasted :(

Gone from the £12.50 to £20
All you can eat data + 200 mins and all you can eat texts.

Will probably stick with this as i'm off on holiday in a few months and the data abroad is very much welcome :)

I did the same, though I requested the change from 1 month rolling, to 12 month contract (same price) as the 30Gb tethering will now be quite useful for my Windows 10 Tablet (tried it on the 1 month rolling and it said I couldn't tether a computer!!)

You get 30gb on 1 month and you most certainly can tether. Even says in the description. And the rest of us do.

SIM All-you-can-eat Data, 200 Minutes - 1 month.

Plan Includes (per month):
Inclusive UK data:All-you-can-eat Inclusive UK minutes:200 mins
Inclusive UK texts:All-you-can-eat textsContract length:1 month contract

Price includes £5 monthly discount for paying by a recurring method, such as direct debit. Each May, your Monthly Charge will increase by an amount up to the January RPI rate (published each February), unless you're on a SIM plan.

Use your allowances to call and text home and use data in 18 destinations worldwide. Terms apply. Search three.co.uk for 'feel at home'.

On our All-you-can-eat data plans, you can use up to 30GB of your data each month to create a Personal Hotspot within the UK.

So on web chat they can't give you any deals, so what's the point. Despite it saying you can use it for upgrades.
And they won't offer me the £18 deal over the phone.
Is there anything shopping me from taking the £18 deal then cancelling my existing contract as it's 1 month rolling.

I'm seriously considering the 200mins + AYCE data 1 month rolling contract for £23 (new customer). My main reason would be for the 30GB tethering but I'm not sure if phones are ok to be used as a hotspot for several hours a day??? Does anyone else use one that much?

Phone is a smart ultra 6 (already unlocked).

Sorry, I just realised my post wasn't very clear at all. My concern is purely hardware - is the phone itself up for being a hotspot several hours a day?

It should be fine, It will probably get a bit warm nothing much else. But you will want to have it on charge at the same time.

I use my phone as a hotspot while we were away last summer, no issues.

Also the more data you transmit via the phone, tth more it will caine the battery as the radios will be working, so best plugged into mains if possible if transferring a lot.

When I looked (about a month ago) the 1 month tarrif didn't allow tethering!! that was when it was still 12Gb on the allowance!! must have changed when they went up to 30Gb

No biggie!! I'm happy with the service, I've been with them for 3 years, so another year is nothing! then I'll see next May!!

I suspect the confusion comes from having a 30GB data package with no tethering and a AYCE data package with 30GB tethering. For some insane reason, they are the same price. At least that's what I see looking as a new customer.

I still haven't received my EE sim, and my most recent communication was order confirmation on the 8th via email, and then a text saying "we are processing your order and will contact you soon" on the 10th.

Is this unusual or not..? Will phone them up if it is.

I had no problem understanding them - they couldn't understand me and I don't even think I have any kind of accent (of course I could be oblivious to it :p)

edit: seriously though, I don't think anyone should wait this long for a sim card. It doesn't set a good first impression before you're even a "proper" customer.

My SIM arrived in a couple of days, they did say to me they were busier than normal due to a lot of new signups. Give them a call Acme.

Also having delt with both EE and 3's customer service I can tell you EE's is 1000 times better and its in the UK whereas 3's is not.

The woman at EE I was dealing with when I had issues with my 16GB allowance not showing up even get me her email address if I needed to contact them/her again.

In contrast, it took 'John' at 3 4 or 5 attempts to get my phone number right when I called. ;)
