4 episodes in and very much enjoying it Mackie doesn't have the presence but he is doing OK and the story is solid
Some good twists and turns along the way too.
However, almost 0 boobs and debauchery![]()
Can you explain why, without spoilers...it's cos of Mackie isn't it, go on, tell me it's Mackie
I assume you're on about S2 btw.
It does seem that they've put his sleeve from Broken Angels into Woken Furies and mashed some other stuff together. If they've strayed away from the source material, that would explain why it's not working as well as it should. Either that or they know they are not getting a third series.
It really does appear that they put the main elements from the books into a blender and made Kovacs story soup. I find myself watching S2 just to see how far from the books they’ll push it.
If you haven’t read the books and don’t want to know what they’ve changed, don’t read the Spoilerific text below:
I mean they made Ray into his sister and he’s in love with Quellcrist who formed the Envoy Corps for ****’s sake. What’s next, Kovacs having a threesome with an Elder and a swamp panther?
[\SPOILER]
I'm four episodes in and quite enjoying it, not as good as the first season which I rewatched last week, it feels a bit more by-the-numbers than the first season and as others have said, Kovacs' personality doesn't seem particularly consistent from one sleeve to the next.
Poe is character of the season for me so far, he's been great.
That's a shame. Whilst I thought the first season was good I felt they could have taken the acting and storyline up a notch to make it superb. I had hoped they'd done this for the second season.
Agreed. Nuf saidA definite drop in quality for S2, but still worth a watch.
Question about Falconer and her methods:
Why does she need some crazy space magic to destroy the stacks of her victims? We already know a regular old gun can destroy a stack and permanently kill someone.
