She is a strange bird for sure...but evidence against her from the beginning? WHAT evidence? They have circumstantial DNA evidence which is so inconclusive American forensics teams would have thrown it out.

The case against them was overwhelming, despite all the bluff and bluster from their defence team. It didn't help that they couldn't keep their stories straight, tried to blame each other and lied about their alibis.

The whole case seems a complete farce to me.

I don't know if they're guilty or not, but neither does the Italian justice system.

The BBC article I read didn't provide any conclusive evidence that she was guilty, it makes no difference to me if she is or isn't of course, but it just doesn't seem completely right.

They only have circumstantial evidence. I don't really think she is innocent but at the same time neither do I believe in a trial with no direct evidence.

There's definitely something wrong with 'Foxy Knoxy'. I think there's a lot more to come out about this story...probably afetr the appeals.

'direct evidence' as you call it is not necessary, circumstantial evidence is very powerful - and the verdict reached in this case was correct. the two could not prove their innocence, and their guilt was very very likely...

I am not sure of the integrity of the Italian justice system but I must admit there has always been something very micey about Ms Knox. Not since Maxine Carr has someone made my skin crawl for reasons unknown.
