If she did indeed commit the crime then she deserves her sentence. But this whole case does seem as though it's been a bit of a botched operation to me. A couple of points I found a bit strange - as far as the knife goes, surely using this evidence seems a bit thin? Is there not the possiblility that, oh I don't know, maybe she used that knife earlier in the day for perhaps cooking, maybe? There's many ways her DNA could've got on it. The Italian court system seems a bit strange as well. From what i've heard, the jury is allowed to talk about the case outside of the court, talk to the public, papers, etc, etc. Possibility of your mind being swayed, no? In this country at least you can't speak about the case or anything like that outside of the walls of the court.
