The build quality of this thing is incredible! Feels far more expensive than £64!
Got Kodi on and so far so good. I'm not convinced my video settings are correct but ill look at that later.
One thing, without a Prime Instant Video subscription there is a lot that won't work. But I bought it for Netflix and Kodi so I'm happy.
Oh and is there a way to browse the full app store on the FTV? Or do you have to use a PC and send apps to the device?

I plan on retiring the FTV remote so won't have voice search. Ill stick with using the website then.
My latest thinking is CEC as I found out accidentally that a lot of it works straight up. I need to see if I can tweak some buttons on my Harmony but if I can get it to do all the commands on the FTV remote ill be happy.

As you can see I already have one and your one will be going in spare room. I couldn't see any frame rate problems with my one so maybe a direct comparison will shed more light, maybe yours has some kind of problem.

Hi guys,I'm in the market for a new media player,currently have a western digital and is great,wanted something that can do other stuff as well,this looks to fit the bill.
What's the main difference in the fire to android media players ( there are so many now).
I have a buffalo 4tb bad,the western was easy to set up and I like it like that,don't want to spend loads of time mucking about setting up a new device.
How easy is the fire to set up and install xbmc ?

Ok anyone come across this issue? Bought a fire tv side loaded Kodi but all my mkv are upside down?

Ended up factory resetting the FTV and started again, no problems this time.

What part are you stuck on, it really is easy. Are you using adbFire?
