Amazon Prime - Dont have it then you can wait.

Ordered Friday night for latest round and arrived at our Amazon locker first thing this morning.

Have had a couple of late post 10pm locker deliveries recently but still always next day.

Only time prime hasn't delivered for me was EU based warehouse but I still ended up with it albeit a few days late

Using the paid upgrade delivery option for pre 1pm has also resulted in DPD deliveries every time. For absolutely critical and high value items I always do this, notably as I would have to pay for it with other suppliers anyway so even with prime subscription it doesn't feel like a hardship.

Their webchat has definitely moved to an AI autonomous system in my opinion though in the first couple of tiers of escalation.

£3.99. I assume that price is set in stone for every Standard Delivery order, regardless of price or weight.

Wow, Amazon really are starting to rip it. I'd be willing to bet that when your parcel does arrive it's been sent first class. As the OP originally stated, they seem to be providing such a poor "standard" service now that they're treating Prime more like a membership fee rather than a next day delivery service.

If you're not in their club, you'll literally be waiting weeks and paying for the privilege.

Prime has gone seriously downhill for me lately. A pair of expensive boots lost and, one parcel delivered to a 'neighbour' 8 doors away.
Had one month free added and a ten pound credit for the boots (as well as the refund) but really I'd rather they sorted their couriers out.

Given the pay on offer for the working hours, their courier service is only going to be going one way and it won't be significant improvements :p

My GF ordered some presents to our local Amazon locker this week (3 items in total). After making the trip to the locker it turns out that our supplied code is invalid, rang the support number which thankfully goes directly to an operator but was told all they can do is raise it as an escalation for a new code to be generated so we can get the goods - turns out this can take up to 24hrs and we still haven't got our code so they are locked in our local locker.

Well played Amazon.

What that got to do with it, do you buy lots from Amazon and do you want/pay for next day delivery. If yes then it's worth it.

You asked me how much I use it and I just told you I've used it a lot over the last month.. That's what is got to do with it.

Not bothered about next day delivery. Just wondered if prime get anything else other than next day delivery as some deals are better for prime members as far as I can gather

But Christmas doesn't happen every month and so can't be used as your norm habbit.

Mad no not really, unless you order a lot and want next day, don't bother. Seeing as you don't use any off the other services included.

So the ASA looking to investigate. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-42394898

I don't think I will renew Prime when it expires next. My issue is not missing the delivery date like the ASA suggests, but that the delivery date is not the next day like it used to be. With a Amazon locker around the corner I no longer need to be in and with no guarenteed next day delivery then it is not really worth it anymore.

be interesting to know what percentage is missed, as the service is spot on at least for me. had hundreds of packages and its failed something like twice. at which point they give a month free.
