Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Not Prime, just normal Amazon, but an early Xmas pressie for me.

Ordered 4x15 of Guinness for £60 on Saturday evening, free delivery on Sunday, duly delivered yesterday.

Checked Amazon today and it was saying the order had not been delivered and they were going to issue a refund?!

Just rang them up to inform them that the order had indeed been delivered and not to issue a refund.

After a few minutes with CS, they thanked me for contacting them and told me they had already issued the refund and couldn't cancel it, and also couldn't recharge me!

Free Xmas booze for me, happy days! :D

Edit, forgot to add, they also said they couldn't pick the Guinness up!

Does anyone find Subscribe and Save a bit of a PITA?

I have a bunch of stuff setup --- but occasionally the non S&S price is cheaper. So a few times I've postponed the subscription and ordering it again, on a fresh S&S order. This then shows the total price in the dashboard --- or at least I hope it does.

For e.g. right now I can see 5x Guinness "4.45" - clearly unit price. But then I can see 4x Shampoo "29.12" - clearly total price. But where it may go either way it is almost impossible to tell - 2x Roll-on Deodorant "2.80" - ? -- 4x Toothpaste "7.82" (it is expensive Regenerate stuff; so it's either an OK price to grab 1, or a bargain to grab 4).

Amazon are taking the **** with returns. I sent back a tablet on the 12th November. Received it within a few days and have been chasing for weeks. Been on live chat twice today and just get disconnected after they tell me I'll have to wait up to another 60 days. WTH

A few years back I returned an Amazon tablet and then later contacted them because the tablet wasn't showing as having been received. They looked into it and somehow managed to refund me for it twice, so I was happy with that.

You got faster delivery than prime customers, I needed to order something on Friday for Saturday delivery, everything was 2-3 days, depending if Sunday was available or not.

I should have said it was Amazon Fresh, which guarantees same or next day delivery, depending on when you order of course.

Not had too many issues with prime last year other than a lot of products were no longer next day delivery instead it was about 2 days delivery on most, for the most part that was okay.
I did get some good customer service on a few things including full refunds and told to keep items instead of posting them back which worked out nicely as they were simple repair jobs and was not expecting to get a full refund for and told to keep

to make it even more funny, it was cloches for the garden.... and it's not even cold anymore....

The lockers outside a shop... btw.... LOL..... that also is an amazon delivery address as well, I don't understand why they can't drop it at the counter or something..

it's like £13 worth of items

Just had a supposedly new monitor delivered by Amazon today.

As soon as DPD plonked it on the doorstep it was clear that it was a return, as the box was torn/re-taped all round. Upon opening it, all the interior polystyrene was broken, the 'wrap' which should have been around the monitor itself was just screwed up in the top, and to top it off all of the other accessories were missing (cables, instructions, remote + even the screws to attach the monitor to the stand). What a shambles

The webchat with 'customer service' was just as useless - No option to send a new one in replacement, only option is to refund - apparently taking up to 14 days to return the funds. Plus I now have to chase around to cancel the 'Amazon' extended warranty/insurance as even that is apparently fulfilled by a third-party.:mad::mad:

Does the insurance cover you against receiving a used monitor instead of a new one?

surely it wasn't dispatched from amazon, nor delivered by them.
if it were delivered by DPD.

Ordered a new monitor on the 24th. Mine said dispatches from Amazon and sold by Amazon, it turned up yesterday on an Amazon van.
