Amazon use DPD to deliver sometimes so it may well have been a direct from Amazon order rather than a third party

maybe it varies across the country depending how rural places are considered.

I'm in a city centre so I guess amazon vans are going past dozens of times each day.

I had some speakers a few months back, amazon had specially ordered 2 speakers just for me, I know because the shipping manifest was still attached to the box.
they could have just drop shipped them but didn;t.

I've had this too and I'm not rural at all.

On another note my wife returned some Samsung wireless buds back to amazon. Not opened and still sealed. Refund was taking ages and then it said... call in before refund is issued. They wanted ID off my wife as there were no buds in the box!!
So you can guess what happened...

First time that's happened to us tbh. I've heard many horror stories about shenanigans at the warehouse of thieves. They went and refunded us no issues.

I ordered a TV stand and a tube of silicone sealant yesterday, and both are saying Tuesday for delivery. The TV stand says:-

And the sealant says:-

They were both ordered at the same time from the same basket, so will see if they both arrive together and via which courier.

surely it wasn't dispatched from amazon, nor delivered by them.
if it were delivered by DPD.

But delivered by DPD. Either way, the DPD delivery wasn't the issue - just Amazon's shoddy supply chain/fulfillment sending unchecked returns out as 'new'

They aren't going to arrive together when they're dispatched from 2 different places!

I've had this too and I'm not rural at all.

Pretty normal around here. While most of our stuff sold and dispatched by Amazon is delivered by 'Amazon Logistics' (mostly useless rent-a-van types - I've never seen a van that actually says Amazon on it) we also get deliveries by DPD, Royal Mail and Evri on occasion. I always took it that it was whoever was either cheapest for that particular order or who could get it there on time.
