Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

My Evri return station at the local Tesco has had an "Out of order - Will be fixed soon" label on it for what surely must be long past 3 months by now! Thankfully the local post office has a decent Amazon specific returns setup and it's pretty quick. Little bit concerned that you no longer receive any proof of postage though, as I've had to use that one in the past to settle a claim a vendor made (over 2 months after a return) saying they never actually received the parcel. Still can't beat the near-instant refunds though.

. I just cba with this. I just want to print a label myself, go to post office and hand it over.
didn't they used to include a returns label in the box..

I guess the environment is more important though.

can you return to an amazon locker and avoid printing a label? reusing the original postage sticker.

Can't even remember when they last included an invoice nevermind a returns label

I ordered a 2.5Kg bag of Scrumbles cat food on Thursday as it was the best price I could find. Ozzy loves this stuff and was almost out. My package turned up yesterday, door bell rung and by the time I opened the door the driver had driven off. On opening the bag I find a 2Kg bag of Scrumbles DOG food!! I go online to arrange a return/replacement only to find it's non-returnable so I request a call back. Instantly I get a phone call and the nice lady got a refund sorted and I don't have to return the bag so that's going in the food bank. She then advises me to carefully check out the seller and their reviews in future. I then explain that it was sold and dispatched by Amazon and she was very apologetic even though it was not her fault. With the bag being the same colour and the writing being the same I assumed someone picked up the wrong item but on closer inspection I found it actually had the correct code for the cat food and was even described as Scrumbles cat food 2.5Kg even though the bag clearly says otherwise. The person doing the labelling needs to go to Specsavers I think!! I just hope the re-order is actually cat food when it shows up.

I use Royal Mail pickup for all my Amazon returns and I’ve retuned a lot over the last few months.

Stuff just seems to turn up battered despite the outer box being absolutely fine. Being the season for gifting, it all had to go back.

An Apple Watch SE was meant to be delivered to me, at work, today along with another item. The driver turns up, not an Amazon van and I'm guessing he was a temporary drive over the xmas period, and hands me one package. I said to him I was expecting another package and he said to me that's all he had for me. I insisted he check his van and he went straight to the passenger seat and there was an Amazon package with my name and delivery address on it but it was empty. As were 2 other packages. He said "oh it's a damaged package" so I told him he's not getting the one time code I'd been sent.

I contacted Amazon CS and after telling them the whole story, and they confirmed the watch was on the same delivery van as my other item, the CS rep did say "well it does look like the driver may have stolen your watch" no **** Sherlock :D

I was then put on with another CS rep from Shipping & Delivery so I asked him the one time code process and he told me the drivers know a code is needed when they pick up the packages. That seems to be a hugely flawed system and I suggested they have it so when the driver scans the item at the delivery address then they find out a code is needed. They have issued a refund.

Thieving ****. Alleged by me.

Staff do that deliberately as dealing with parcels is a massive pain. I know as a friend works in one and said thats what they do!

Cancelled today...

Why should I pay extra for no ads, why are so many movies locked beyond buy or rent when I'm already a prime sub, also movie/TV choice is ****

All my free prime shipping is done for now, so don't need prime anymore even if two items didn't arrive next day

I'm sure it's been said elsewhere but honestly Argos is my preferred shop now, even if I have to head into town to pick it up. Far more reliable and seemingly less tat on there.

I ordered something from Argos a couple of weeks ago for the first time in years, and it will probably be the last time. It was delivered by Yodel in a thin bag with no padding, as a result the box was damaged and seal was broken. Returns are seemingly impossible, using their bot I scheduled a collection the next day but nobody showed up. I managed to get past the bot and speak to a human and they said the collection was scheduled for the day before and they couldn't change it.

Just take it back to the store, there in every minor town these days.
Unfortunately my nearest Argos store is 4 miles away, so I decided to keep it and never buy from them again. It made me appreciate how good Amazon are with returns when you can just print off a label and have Royal Mail collect it.

Genuinely surprised at that tbh. I’ve had more positive Argos experiences in recent years than pretty much anywhere but guess mileage will vary.

I'm not sure as to the why but recently we handled a load of collections for Yodel - it was a **** show, no end of complaints about them, and also eye-opening was the number of scam attempts by members of the public.
