Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

I use Argos over amazon now, their delivery is faster, you can get same day on most things, and they deliver to the sainsburys local down the road by 10am next day for free.

You don't have the hundreds of options rebranded identical cheap Chinese tat to filter through fake reviews on either, it's just simpler.

Plus it's a UK come that pays its taxes.

Sadly they don't do a lot of what I buy. It is nice when you don't have to wade through the tat and probable knock-offs and fake reviews though - though generally I manage to do that pretty well... generally.

Post brexit Aliexpress lost a lot of my trade versus Amazon with the more stringent vat & import duty application.

Amazon not yet joining barb like netflix, so we can't see if rings of power is a good investment / flop.

Yes. Use aliexpres a lot less now too

I have just cancelled my Amazon account because I tried to buy something and they enrolled me into Prime even after I cancelled the order.
They can stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

Another day and yet another missing Amazon delivery. A couple of weeks ago while working in my home office I noticed that the rubber seal on the window had deteriorated in places and was letting in water. No problem thought I, I'll order some Stormguard Upvc rubber seal from Amazon, That'll fix it. Well it would've done if it even arrived but they lost it. To make matters worse they then tell me it might yet arrive so I have to wait 5 working days before they'll replace or refund. After 5 days I contact them about a replacement and they claim they no longer have any in stock despite their website saying they've got 20 in stock.

Last week I ordered a box of expresso pods for our coffee machine and got the exact same problem. Tracking showed it got as far as the carrier and that was it. So lost delivery blah blah we're very sorry blah blah wait 5 working days etc. And now a replacement HDMI cable I ordered has been lost. Online tracking clearly shows it arrived at carrier and again that was the last update, nothing since. They've admitted it's been lost but want me to wait the 5 days yet again.

I can recall a time when Amazon customer service was better than this.

They used to be much better, but that was a long time ago; today they're mediocre at best. Still, and I can't believe I'm saying this, it could be worse. You could try dealing with Three's customer service ... now THAT'S bad (from very recent experience)!

Three...One I just had a run in with that I tried to leave within 14 days of signing up...What a crack house full of chancers that company is.

Latest boil my **** with Amazon is selecting prime, finding one that states delivery by 1pm tomorrow, buying and then being told it will be there before 10pm.

Great that I had selected the OH's business address due to the 1pm and it finally got there at 18:19 - 50 minutes after closure and was redelivered today.

They do have a bad habit of luring you with the time you want and then sticking a finger up after purchase.

Can confirm this.

Oh don't even start with Three, may as well just shout at the moon for several hours.

You're not kidding. There again, their **** poor service just cost them £90 from a complaint to the Ombudsman Service (would have cost them <£5 if they'd got it right and not messed me around), so it's a win in the end for me :)

What's with Amazon saying "order in the next 2hrs for guaranteed delivery tomorrow," you then ponder and decide to order ~90mins later, to find you now have guaranteed delivery the day after tomorrow?

One possibility is that they only had one of those items in stock at your local warehouse, and that was bought by someone else so now it has to come from a different warehouse which wont be next day.

Could well be, but why not show that on the item page?

I understand that deliveries have been slow lately but my recent Amazon orders (fulfilled by Amazon themselves) have had delivery estimates of over a week, a recent one was 9 days.

Absolutely farcical.

In what way? I can't say I've had any issues yet but I last used their customer service to return an item for a refund last August. There was no issues. Then ordered a replacement and all was fine.

Your Amazon Prime deliveries are taking that long? I'm still getting them next day as if it was 2018. Even my non Prime account can be the day after. Or usually next day paying £5 - £8 for whatever it is.

I find that happens if using the “buy now” option. When it happens I cancel the order and reorder by adding it to my basket and checking out from there where next day guaranteed can be selected. Frustrating that there doesn’t appear to be an option to change the default.
