Amazon Prime sucks massive donkey balls

Screw you amazon. In the space of 1.5 hours in adding some headphones to my basket and then walking away from my pc, the price has jumped up almost 50 quid.

Prices go up and down like a yoyo there a certain expensive item went up and down by more than a hundred quid either way over the matter of a week or so, kept an eye on it though...

In stock item ordered 15th August about 4pm. With prime. Could have done with it by Friday. 5 days later it's "expected between 19th and 27th August".

Ho Hum.

It's very rare they don't deliver next day, it happens and to a point I think you just have to accept they won't get it right every time, they're dependent on their suppliers and if they don't give them accurate information the process kind of falls apart.

I'm tracking one now which was ordered yesterday, it's a few minutes away by the looks of tracking. :D

If you really need something now and it's important plus you;re able then leave the house and buy it at a brick and mortar store.

Yeah, I'd agree with that, just venting my spleen. ;)

Unfortunately I think Apple stopped stocking this particular Laptop battery about 5 years ago. Plus it'd be four times the cost...

Just noticed amazon have started offering no interest monthly payments on their devices with no application or credit check at all. That’s a bit risky isnt it?

can you access you Amazon profile then ? is it like google where they have determined your 'personality', and marketting choices, elesehwere - (facebook etc., and then hit you with targetted advertising.;)

I suspect in this case the seller has lazily edited an existing listing with the product which means it is still under the old category and/or bundled it in as an alternative option with other items like you get with different capacities of the same HDD or size of the same clothing, etc.

Maybe that's person specific?

I've just added an Echo Show to my basket and don't see that option.

Yeah, I just looked at the show and it’s giving me an option to buy it for £24 a month for 5 months.

I might give the normal echo a try. Even if it isn’t great, I’m not gonna miss £14 a month.

I did hear somewhere that you ave to have a longstanding account with a credit card registered to the account.

It saddens me they don't give me the option. Although not sure i'd actually take them up on it!

I have the show already and don't think i'd bother over a regular echo.

So I just ordered a new Router from Amazon, due today. Someone rang my doorbell, and I go down and the delivery guy had just dropped the box on the floor and bolted. I then opened it to realise it wasn't even for me, it was for my neighbour a few doors down... ¬_¬'

So I contacted Amazon, and sure enough my Router was left outside my neighbours door! Just going round now to make the swap - Bit embarrassed I've opened it :p Fortunately, it was just a lightbulb and not something more embarrassing :p

I woke up after an afternoon snooze the other week to find an Amazon package posted through my letterbox for a neighbour. My house number is clearly displayed so not sure how they get that mix up.

My wife and I order loads from Amazon each year. Their delivery can be hit and miss. Towards the end of 2017 it reached its worse with several items being left outside our house door which is about 2m from the street. What made it worse was that we were home each time and they didn't bother to even knock on the door. We checked the front door after receiving "delivered" notifications on our phones. Multiple complaints were lodged and nothing was done. Finally in February 2018 a £100 item went missing and since they had to reimburse us they finally decide to do something about it. Every since then the deliveries have been timely and handed to us or a neighbours, nothing has been left outside.
