**AMD 5700 X3D Owners CLub**

The only reason I'd consider is because I can't set any PBO offset on my 5800X - the system becomes instantly unstable - but I'm under a full WC loop so the temps don't bother me too much
Pbo isn't what you want for a non 3d chip but it seems very few people know?
You want a locked voltage and hard overclock.

Had a 5700x3d for a few months now, upgraded from 5600x and had to review my memory settings.

Hard wall running 4x8gb sticks at 3800Mhz so went with a simple 3% OC on the bus allowing a mem and infinity clock of 1888 (3666 strap allowing 3775 MT/s at CL14). Might try and push it a little further but not seeing massive changes in memory performance tightening timings any more.
3D vcache tends to render memory improvements over the ideal 1:1 mem:infinity optimization redundant now.

I'm running 24GB of two mixed pairs of DDR4 at 3200 C16. Not ideal as the better 16 gb kit is 3200 C14 Bdie. But it's too late in the day now to splash out on a better kit of DDR4 at the end of it's life.

What are people getting out of their chips with -30 offset? I just ran CB 2024 with my background programs closed and got 838 which seems pretty high compared to what reviews found so no complaints from me.

Mine arrived this morning, long live AM4! Now for a better GPU...
That's the trouble. One upgrade leads to another, then another and so on lol. I'm trying to think of something else I "need".

Also, I suggest the 7900 XTX for a GPU. Price is coming down and can be had reasonably with fantastic performance.

7900XTX Ha! £300 is my max for a GPU. Currently have a 6600XT which is mostly fine at 1080 and older games at 4K

Just ordered one of these myself from China,

If it all turns up ok I'll get it built up with an B450 board I have lying around and 4x8 single rank sticks.

I'll have a play with it to see what it can do, pretty sure my nephew will be wanting a gaming PC in the near future so it will be a good base for him
