AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Peeps.. genuine request. Every single person who was hoping to buy a 6800 go spam AMD & Rank Azor's social media. It really is time that they realise that we the customers are not happy with this situation.
Genuine response: no, get a life.

Nerd rage isn't pretty at the best of times, but this is all just pathetic.

I was so tempted but decided against my beliefs not to overpay for something.

Was Hoping today and subsequent weeks i'll get a card legit and for decent price

Still amazed by this logic, I doubt amd fail to realize the customers want to buy their products. If they cannot produce them fast enough or cannot distribute them spamming marketing execs on twitter isnt going to make a difference is it.

Excluding auctions scalpers, I even tried to pay more (way too much frankly) for badly overpriced 3080 and 6800xt on various retailer websites but that didn't work either. Sold out in an instant.

Many people have been content to vent their feelings towards OCUK who are the retailer.. but it is the supplier AMD who have hyped up and launched a product with no stock. Letting them know that we as consumers are unhappy with this situation is not "nerd rage" it is important feedback that they need to hear. Or perhaps we should all stay quiet and say thank you very much next time they pull the same truck with yet another paper launch with bull ###t msrp'#s for reference stock that doesn't exist

I agree that spamming them is pointless and childish, I do feel like (same as NVidia) AMD should make a statement clarifying the stock situation over the next 3 months for both GPU and CPU

Agreed, only outrage these days swing companies' approach (same with gaming companies and some shoddy practices - no outrage = no change!) to customers. Keeping silent just means we agree with such treatment.

AMD dropped the ball here massively then. Open goal to score in after Nvidia's shoddy launch, bigged up their marketing pre-launch before delivering a paper launch. What a royal screw up.

The youtuber hyping baffles me

Why send out so many review cards to youtubers (who then hype everyone up) when you don't have anything to sell?

its the equivalent of shouting in the street "LOOK AT ME" then saying "oh never mind" when everyone looks round

People have been giving AMD all sorts of **** for the last week, what planet are you living on :D

They ****** up the marketing but I still fail to see how they could have done a better release given the whole pandemic situation and the globally strained logistics sector

I think that many many consumers have kept quiet in the hope that the aib launch today would garner more stock.. amd should have clarified the situation last week and admitted they just don't have stock to sell.

Instead you have their head of marketing bragging that he had no issues buying a card for himself on launch day!

I don't mind them missing an open goal as much as the lies and BS they put out before even taking the field. The 6800XT is about 10% slower than they hyped, they revealed nothing about RT and it turns out on par with 2080Ti at best, but those I can live with as they are par for the course. But when lying **** Frank Azor said "I look forward to taking your $10" when someone bet AMD would be a paper launch as well, only to be 100% proven wrong when AMD did indeed paper (vapour launch) worse than Nvidia. He then had the gall to make it worse by tweeting, look at me an AMD employee buying and AMD 6800 (non XT) on AMDs website after some retries... see it isn't a paper launch.

What exactly can they do?

nVidia rushed their card out, everyone screamed for AMD to follow up quickly otherwise they would 'lose'. AMD did follow up and the inevitable is inevitable.

TSMC are producing wafers for PS5, Xbox, Ryzen and Radeon and they've all released in a 1 month window. They've produced millions of consoles and they were gone within seconds too. There's only so much fab to go around.

AMD are damned if they do and damned if they don't. The only big fuckup was a single tweet about a paper launch, but in the grand scheme of things that shows how ridiculous the whole hyperbole around this crap is.
