AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

The MSRP's from manufacturers are near impossible to hit, miss leading, there is a reason there are no NVIDIA cards at MSRP from any reseller selling none FE cards, board partners cannot hit it especially when air freighting stock, meaning the resellers most definitely cannot hit it unless they decide to sell at cost pretty much.

MSRP's should be more realistic then people would not be so disappointed.

I get that they might be difficult to hit, but certainly not impossible, as all of your competitors were not just cheaper, but significantly so, one was £599 the other £619, so I dont really see why OCUK were charging £80 more for the same product that the competition. It also looks from google reviews that a lot of your (now former) customers are now turned off by this.

They ****** up the marketing but I still fail to see how they could have done a better release given the whole pandemic situation and the globally strained logistics sector
Yeh I'm sure they couldn't have done a better job of delivering considering the pandemic and strained logistics, what they should have done is given an honest assessment rather than building up hype with the marketing.

But when lying **** Frank Azor said "I look forward to taking your $10" when someone bet AMD would be a paper launch as well, only to be 100% proven wrong when AMD did indeed paper (vapour launch) worse than Nvidia. He then had the gall to make it worse by tweeting, look at me an AMD employee buying and AMD 6800 (non XT) on AMDs website after some retries... see it isn't a paper launch.
Yeh I definitely put that with the marketing screw up!

What exactly can they do?
*snip*
AMD are damned if they do and damned if they don't. The only big ****** was a single tweet about a paper launch, but in the grand scheme of things that shows how ridiculous the whole hyperbole around this crap is.
As above, I'd say they should have been honest about the stock. Yeh maybe it is a case of damned if they do, damned if they don't. But I feel like they would have been better off delaying launch and stating it's due to stock.

Why do they have stock in eastern europe and not here? Its about time we re-colonised these places.

Stock is at best the same. It just lasts longer because there's less people buying a card that costs 1.5 medium wages.

It's supposed to be "extremely limited" - I haven't seen anything listed as in stock, only the prices.
