AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Well know epurchaser had it for 1 minute and I just reflex bought. Due to arrive in 38 days, apparently they only had 10

If it's due in 38-60something days, than they obviously didn't have any ether, they just hope to be profiteering from imaginary queue (sounds somehow familiar), and charge you a 6900xt price for the privilege? Cancel it and don't be a mug mate.

No, it looks like there was not a single one in actual stock throughout the UK or possibly the world. Strangely Frank "the lying ****" Azor's twitter feed hasn't updated for a while, it looks like all the AMD shills are deflecting/hiding now. I believed their lying BS that stock would be plentiful compared to Nvidia and to my shame I repeated it here as truth.

Well, I'm looking at the prices on other sites and they're pricing the product out of its useful range I think. OCUK will probably be a bit more expensive too based on last week's prices.
The whole "point" of the 6800XT was it was a fair bit faster than 3080 for a fair bit cheaper... now we know its roughly equal in performance and apparently a lot more expensive...

I guess I'll just wait it out for a 3080.

They need competition, both companies can at this point do whatever they like, and consumers have few if any options. It's a recipe for disaster, and this is what we are now seeing.

TBH, unless I read reviews which state there is a particular 3rd party card best suited to a full loop, I will go reference.
Too early to tell because I don't believe that the waterblock manufacturers have been given access to any information about the PCBs. Probably due to the AMD NDA on these designs only lifting about an hour ago.

AMD, "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" :D:D

It more like AMD snatched defeat from the jaws of victory last week, then whined until they got a do-over only to put up an even worse performance. They are laughable, so laughable that the main PC component retailers in the UK refused to even list their "new" products.

  • Nvidia 30x0 release was (and still is) a **** show. AMD laughed and sais we will do better.
  • 18th for Big Navi release and it was practically a no show. People said this was worse than Nvidia and AMD said, wait until the 25th, that's when the real stock will show with AIBs.
  • One week later, not a dickie bird and no stock anywhere in the entire universe. AMD are totally silent.
