AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

You can buy the top end EVGA FTW 3080 for cheaper than the average 6800XT... thats how bad it is... i think i'll be buying direct from EVGA, will sell my Freesync screen if its not Gsync compatible and get something that is, probably ditch my 3800X and X570 as well for Intel, atleast those are in stock!

Why ditch your 3800x and x570? Nvidia cards work just as well on AMD CPUs :)

You should all do yourselves a favour and forget this mess for now, sell your existing GPU while you can and run iGPU or some old spare until things normalise (or until you can grab a stock drop somewhere).

I got £460 for my 2070 Super and managed to bag a 3070 for £580 after a few weeks waiting. Overpriced 3070 for sure but not compared to the resale value of my old card.

You can't buy anything, prices are meaningless.

A guy on a discord of mine bought a 3080 for £750 and someone paid £750 for his 2080Ti :D

But you can't blame Gibbo this time, these prices were all set before Gibbo put his cards live.

If you'd bothered to read earlier posts you'd know that we are in the middle of a full overhaul but it's not just a case of install a new app and away you go. I've spent about thirty hours over the last few weeks working with the developers of our new internal systems and there's also a new website on the horizon, which is being debugged right now.

Less of your cheek young fella, it is not possible for me to read every post, should not be talking to your customers in that manner. So what you said is good to know, if a little late for what was a poor show over 3 terrible launches. I know everything is not Gibbo's fault or yours for that matter. You have lost a lot of faith my friend, you are not the company you once were, you were always my go to place for components in years past but things have changed. I'm only really on here to keep in touch and the banter.

Good luck ALL, I am glad this is over for me- I've been grumpy since 18th November. My kids and wife now can have the normal me back.

Back to normal life for me.
If it's due in 38-60something days, than they obviously didn't have any ether, they just hope to be profiteering from imaginary queue (sounds somehow familiar), and charge you a 6900xt price for the privilege? Cancel it and don't be a mug mate.

6900XT won't be £800 mate, more like £1000 if you can get hold of it.

I'll keep the pre-order and pay the ePurchaser TAX (better for my mental health not havign to F5 spam everywhere!)

Mental isn't it.

That really emphises my point though, prices are mad but resale value is equally mad. If supply was good they'd both be cheaper but maybe the net difference wouldn't be so different?

I think the 6900Xt was advertised by AMD as $999, so that will be £1000 to £1100, maybe, maybe more...

My point exactly! Better for my sanity to pay a bit more circa 800 and get out of this rat race and enjoy a new 6800XT in 30 days!

Oh and I'll probably get £150 for my RTX 2060 from CEX so my purchase price is actually 800-150=£650 Almost MSRP!
