AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Is it competitive though? Two manufacturers, who are both matching each other for price. That doesn't seem very competitive to me.
Assuming you can get them for their ACTUAL RRP it is. Nvidia probably got a little caught with it's pants down as the AMD's almost have them on performance so have priced accordinly with the extra time they had (nvidia showed their hand first). Nvidia now can't very well drop another £50 off now or in the short term, or they'll look like profiteering *****. So wait 6 months, or bring out a "ti" which also results in a no ti/super price drop, to leapfrog AMD. They will both play tit for tat until the point it's not worth them dropping anymore, whether for cost, brand, or both.

Wht the absolute...

On a certain bidding site:

Winning bid:
£62,300.00

On a pre-ordered 6800 xt. lol

People are messing with the scalpers, and I love it! They fully deserve having their time wasted like that, and hopefully it will cost them money too! :D

A large chunk of irony that amd finally make a card with a good cooler and word doing the rounds is they will be incredibly limited and discontinued fairly quickly. =/

How can you discontinue something never started? (Sorry Gerard couldn't resist), on a serious note discontinued? Which cards?

Likely same reason as the one for NVidia FE being nowhere to be seen - they lose money on these. FE/stock cards were just a trick to "prove" to us that MSRP is real. But both companies know it's not - we can already see what actual, real MSRP are currently, for both NVidia and AMD. And it's not a pretty view considering what was promised...

The AIB cards look great v reference, some are getting great reviews (Nitro) and some poor reviews (Red Devil) and they have shiny lights and ultra marketing but for an extra £100 is it really worth it for only an extra 3 or 4 FPS (or up to 6 FPS in Witcher 3)? Prices were already steep, with these stock shortages prices are going to go ... like Bitcoin.

Problem is that with stock/FE cards nowhere to be seen (limited production), there's really no choice. MSRP is a lie, always was.
