AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Cyberpunk 2077 won't support raytracing on AMD cards at launch.

Omg. How will I play games without a new shiny technology that eats my frame rates and lets me see my e-peen in water reflections?

Definitely cancelling my game pre order I've had for a year now.

You should all do yourselves a favour and forget this mess for now, sell your existing GPU while you can and run iGPU or some old spare until things normalise (or until you can grab a stock drop somewhere).

I got £460 for my 2070 Super and managed to bag a 3070 for £580 after a few weeks waiting. Overpriced 3070 for sure but not compared to the resale value of my old card.

Sold a VII and bought a 6800XT

Nvidia and their dirty money in brown envelopes, so hardly a surprise.

How would they implement support for AMD RT without AMD cards, and it’s not like any significant portion of their audience will have AMD cards.

By the time you get one, it’ll be part of the game.

I have a 6800XT and it can barely run Deus EX Mankind divided at max settings on 4K

Hopefully.

Everyone needs to accept that AMD will probably have worse RT than Nvidia, at least until RDNA3. They’re still developing it and we don’t know if the cards have sufficient hardware to compete relative to Nvidia.

A second point, RT is basically useless without something like DLSS, so that’s also something we need to wait for from AMD.

At the moment 3080 is the way to go. Not that I am complaining. I always buy ATI/AMD.
