AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

So to summarise:
  • MSRP is a lie
  • Amazing RTX performance is a lie
  • AMD 6000 series is a lie, beyond an initial handful of units
  • The cake is a lie
  • RTX3000 are trickling in slowly
  • I was incredibly naïve to think I would get a Black Friday GPU bargain

Black Friday should be renamed 'Philips Hue Blubs and Polaroid TV's Friday'.

Was so easy to be honest, just set up a Discord notification on your phone, I was actually out having a meal when the notification came through, clicked the notification which took me straight to add to basket.

If I download the app to my iphone how do i find a chat about 6800s and then set up a noticfication? sorry I'm really new to all of this but driven to desparate measures!

There belies the problem, people very rarely are patient. If they can’t get what they want right away they moan and groan like mad believing it will get them what they want, now.

We need to start manufacturing ’chill pills’ and make them mandatory for the contrast moaners.

People are only moaning as Gibbo refuses to provide any meaningful information to us people in the queue. We get half-assed cryptic updates once a week, whereas it seems other suppliers are far more forthcoming with daily updates and ACTUAL numbers. I'm normally a very patient person and normally wouldn't really care, but I've spend £650 which is a lot of money for me and in return I get told I'm essentially a burden for asking for a useful update rather than "Ok amount of XXX arriving at some point". It's sub-par, and Gibbo can't even say he's too busy as he's posting in car and garden threads throughout the day....

I found a server for EU and do I just wait for iphone to ping a notification if in stock or do I need to do something else?

Sorry
Some of servers will require to leave an emoji for which product you are interested in (it adds you to a list). The bot will post a message in discord when something is in stock which should ping you a notification.

Thank you I entered a 6800XT US chat but there's no option leave messages but I can select an emoji now

I'm having 2nd thoughts about paying £815 for pre-order 6800XT Sapphire Nitro off a well known e-tailer even though they assure me they will fulfil all pre-orders by end of December!

Thinking if I can get even a 6800 at MSRP I would be happy with that and then I'll cancel my pre-order

£815 for a card that's worse than a £649 3080 and £200 more than the reference 6800XT with minimal gains...

Does a 6800 at MSRP exist anywhere I got one for £600 and feel lucky to have got that.

Agree for Ray Tracing anyway but pure Rasterization is on par when overclocked. The sapphire is one of the most overclockable cards and 100-200mghz faster than reference.

I'd rather also have the 16gb VRAM cushion for the future

Problem is there's no stock so what choice do we have?

RT and DLSS aside, the OC'd Nitro is on par with a standard partner 3080. I mean it's your money, and if they're only delivering end of Dec you can still look for alternatives.

I bought a 5700XT to hold me over until I can get a normally priced 3080 as the 6800XT is asking a premium for worse performance (especially with SAM coming to Nvidia cards).

That was my plan to cancel the preorder if I got one not too far off MSRP
