AMD 6800 & 6800 XT MBA LAUNCH AT 2PM TODAY - EXTREMELY LIMITED STOCK!

Also if people are going to wait 4 months for MSRP prices then you might as well wait 12months and get the RX 7000 series.

There is no point saving cash and deprive yourself of high-end gaming for 4 months IMHO

Depends what you currently have. Until AMD come out with a DLSS competitor, Nvidia will have much better longevity, so I would never spend an inflated premium on an AMD card.

Most people have backlogs as long as their arms, so waiting 4 months isn't a big deal.

And then if you consider the 7000 series might have the same issues, and the same wait for RRP.

So the distance from launch -> launch is the same as finally hitting RRP to finally hitting RRP (ie launch + 4 -> launch + 4).

It doesn't mean your card's lifespan is reduced, it just means that each cycle (gen) you buy in later than the day 0 buyers.

It's the same as people who buy last gen's cards as they go EOL (although not these days as EOL discounts are a thing of the past). They don't get less lifespan from their cards, they're just not synced with buying on release.

£210 for a WATER BLOCK. Just a water block?? What The fudge??? £210!!

That is the limited edition one like we saw go to reviewers. Their normal block is £130 which seems to now be the going rate roughly for them. Seems they have all generally increased by about 50% in the last few years as pretty sure the 10 series blocks were mor elike £80-90.

Edit: Also the FE block for Nvidia is also around that £210 price point.

yeah, really looks good but IMO I don't think it's worth it, especially with the Ref 6800XT keeping cool enough under air

it is funny, I think it looks really tacky compared to their standard blocks and their Quantum CPU blocks are much nicer than the one in that kit. That is ignoring the ridiculous price overall.

After missing out on the XFX Merc yesterday I have just managed to order a Sapphire RX 6800 XT Nitro+ from a competitor.

They are showing stock for this and the Red Devil

I must have missed something, didn't see any in stock anywhere. Not that I need one now that I have a 6900 XT incoming but I'm just curious as I might not now the "good" places to buy a graphic card in the UK :o
